and you are completey right - its a shame how badly the TGP / Maverick usage works - no fun ... could there be an general DCS option to skip that stupid boresighting process at all?
Well done for identifying the map location. It's irritating when you see videos in which people are flying over interesting terrain but they don't bother to say where it is! I'm always on the lookout for new terrain in which to create missions. So, if you vary the locations at which you're doing these tutorials you'll be killing two birds with one stone.
I normally start the maverick at the start of the cold start procedure. And the end of the procedure. The 3 min wait is also done. I turn the plane towards the runway and aim tpod at a far runway light and use it to align the maverick. Then I shutdown the maverick If am not using them in the next 15 min.
Easier to get to target area quicker when soi is hud, then slewing to actual target once the maverick seeker is ground stabilized is slower and more sensitive. Fine tuning in other words.
I have problem with ground boresight at mission "The night life". After boresight, my TGP mark on HUD is incorrectly. On MFD TGP, and MFD maverick is ok, but on HUD TGP "looking" different place. Could you help with this?

I found this really useful and loves the format. One thing I’ll have to check, I was of the understanding that only two HARMs could be used (four can be slung but there are only two pylons, 3 and 7, with the appropriate links). Obviously this is not the case in this video. I need to understand whether I’ve been given a bum steer, whether there’s been a change or if there’s some way to use all four that I don’t know. I was unable to launch four HARMs and there was a heap of head scratching before I read somewhere about the limitation. Sometimes DCS has an awful interface and confusing elements beyond what it should be.
As far as I know there is no way to use the 4 HARMs. The change happened recently so this video was made prior to the decision to remove the HARM abilities from two pylons, but they can be mounted with no warning that they're unusable.
Do you need to lock something with the mav for the borsight to work? What if i needed to do this without any friendly units to use, to try this in a combat situation would be rather challenging.
The biggest thing in my f 16 is knowing when to use RUK , PB, or EOM I usually prefer to SEED high and at a distance (on PB) and I usually create my own waypoint in the DED if my target doesn't have one. Any suggestions? Also, could you do a tutorial on low-altitude "pop-up" SEED runs?
Agree with previous, extremely good with subtitles for buttons. Everyone else talk buttons and fast so i have no idea what buttons they are talking about. Very good video, calm and exact. Thank you
what about rifle times 6? I use SP mode and TMS right to make the tgp AREA mode then I choose the MAV WPN mode to PRE from VIS. In this scenario if you have 6 targets even 50 - 100 ft apart the mavs locks on to them perfectly... much more easier and effective what you have shown here.

I never really used and liked the CBU 97 because I used it wrong I used it in CCIP but you better use it in CCRP and always drop a pair. If you drop a pair of those on a bunch of tanks or BTR’s close tho each other the chance of killing all of them is very high. I use them also for SAM’s
