I did this 1 month ago and I still haven't received it :(((((((( you have any idea how long it lasts til I receive it? I paid for normal shipping, not the fast one.
Appreciate the information, my names Zac I'm from Sydney and currently looking for a job in either Niseko or Hakuba, I was wondering you had any recommendations on how fo find some work, I understand I'm a bit late for this season but I just gotta get over there !
Hey! Definitely not too late for the season. There’s always jobs going even mid season. I recommend Facebook pages like ‘Niseko Winter Jobs’ or ‘Hakuba crew’. Otherwise you can look up hotels / restaurants / shops in the area and apply direct. Usually jobs will have staff accommodation and ideally a free lift pass too.
Thankyou for your info, really helpful, I have a question, what part of the application process do you need to be at home for? Is it just to pick up the visa? Or are there steps in the application that require you to be in your country of residence. Also how long does the overall process take? Basically I’m in Australia for 10 days and want to get it all done in that window, wondering if it’s possible?
no so from what I remember, I had to give in the documents in person with my passport, but you can ask someone to pick up your passport for you with the visa. Overall it was super fast, probably about 1 week.
Hi Catherine! Love ur sharings! Im going to work in Niseko this winter as well. Is ur accommodation at Kabayama Lodge? I heard that there’re 115 twin rooms with only 20 toilets and showers. Did u feel it was busy using the bathrooms? And the twin room is only 13sqm. Is there enough space for large suitcases and ski bags from 2pax and seems like there’s no closet to hang clothes? Thanks a lot if u got time to reply
Hiii, so the kitchen area got busy during evenings but since most people work / ski during the day it was quite empty most of the time. The rooms are small but there is enough space I think. The accomodation is new, clean and warm especially compared to other people I’ve spoken to who lived elsewhere so I would recommend it. We also had shuttle vans so you can easily go to town or supermarkets, etc. Good luck and enjoy the snow 😁
4:55 huh, "Name a time you went above and beyond for a customer" its 2024 and in my application recently they already asked me that question in the 3 question online video recorded interview.
@@learning.sinhala yep, all they ask me is what department do I want to work at and I said I want to work at the floor replenishing stocks at DIY, tools, equipment, hardware. Recently I got an email from Xref for "Pre-employment reference request from Bunnings Group Limited" and I think this possibly means that I'm almost there or I got the job and all they need is a reference check.
@@learning.sinhala I thought I already posted my comment but in case If I actually didn't, all they asked me is what is my availability and what department do I want to work at.
Hey! So I’m near the end of my visa now and overall it’s been great . The pay is not great so I don’t recommend working too much . Try save before you come so you can travel and enjoy japan while you’re here ! Things are generally much cheaper than in New Zealand so don’t bring too much because you will want to buy a lot of stuff 😄
I am a Korean community teacher. But I didn't try to upgrade to a special teacher today.I got a Korean teacher credentials last month. So I want to upgrade to professional teacher today.Do you have any special teachers who are working as a community now?Do you have to wait and wait?Help me!
omg you're so me. i'm 23 and am about to do a CELTA certificate (3000 dollars down the drain). it's like a ticket to the world though. hoping to be a teacher down the track it would be sick. there are some good university jobs you can get with 2 years experience. saw one in China where they provide accomodation and it's around $1200 AUD a week. good luck!!!
Do the drivers speak a bit of english or there's no chance ? I'm travelling next week and have trips and lines mapped out, but the one thing i have no clue about are the buses, since i don't know a single useful sentence in spanish =D
do you think you could save money whilst working? Or is a salary of someone who works as a chalet host / something similar just enough to cover costs? Thanks!
I think it completely depends on your job/benefits and spending habits. I was lucky to have very cheap accommodation and a lot of free food. I also didn’t go out much so I managed to save more than I expected. I would say the goal of a ski season isn’t really to save money so I would recommend having savings so you don’t have to worry about money.
It was so much fun seeing you with different lengths throughout the year. I always looked forward to your updates. You look good with pretty much any length. I think you would look cool with it cut into a short style, especially a spikey one but its up to you. Nice to know you can rock all different lengths 💇💗🗾✂
Gran Canaria is an amazing place to grow up as a kid and settle down if you want a lifestyle on an island in the sun. I am a New Zealander and I have lived in Las Palmas since 2007. Back in the days before digital nomads. Your pros and cons Catherine are spot on. However, there is also a lot more to explore here on the islands (you need a car) and if you love historical culture check out the Guanches who were the original people of the islands. Learning Spanish is a must if you want to integrate well. Being a kiwi I have felt a strong bond with the Canarian People.
Hey Catherine, loving these videos as my partner and I are considering going over from NZ too for a few months on the working visa. Just wondering, are there options for couples to stay together? What’s that like if you know?
Hi! I think it really depends on where you work and the accomodation options. Of course if you rent your own place then it’s fine. Otherwise staff accommodation can be more complicated but I did see some couples in the same room I think. Good luck ! Japan is amazing 😁
