I never would have thought to go through the gold mine first while waiting for the cafeteria to open, I’d have assumed you’d lose more time backtracking to smelt the silverware than you’d gain by avoiding the wait. But you also use that time to pre-weigh the gold and carbon, very efficient!
You can optimize this by entering the church in the abbey before giving the coin to the poor guy, this makes these 2 dialogue appear at once. Also, it can be easily discovered that alchemists' Refectory opens every 4 minutes. I wonder if it is counted from the beginning of the game (Is the time seen when loading saves correlated with refectory being open)
Yep, I knew about skipping the beggar on the first pass after watching the true ending speedrun. Also my alchemists split pathing was worse here than my old run. I believe that the timer for the refectory only starts once you enter the area for it.
How much can you read the languages vs just memorizing what you need to do? I feel like after 100% I still relied heavily on the translator. Also are there any puzzles that vary? It seems like from watching there aren't.
Nice run! Getting to point where we might consider skipping the compass and grinding out the chance to make it through the maze without it, but that doesn't sound like a fun time.
@@juggole8475Right now, after investigating for a good amount of time, I don't see any patterns. Also I calculated that statistically, grinding would take: 122 hours if we want to get it first time 10 hours if we just want to be faster than compass route (that is, allowing for 12 tries before restarting the game)
in the fortress you can probably save time at 21:29 . I didn't grab the box and hid behind the two that were there... You can't select it to hide behind but it still hides you when you're behind it. I don't know if I was just lucky though.
I'll test this out for a bit. If I can skip that box, then it's a huge time save. On my casual playthrough, I tried to hide behind those boxes and got caught. When did you play? The version of the game seems to matter for some stuff.
