Upon further investigation and more rides on nitro, I can confirm that it is indeed ranked lower than ROAR at sfa in my list. I feel like I could actually fall sleep while riding nitro.
I’ll probably make a video on it but essentially there is a transfer table in the launch with a switch distance of zero that switches positions while the train is on it allowing the train to traverse the spike going backwards. For the visual portion I had to import the spine of the two sections of track that are moving in the video into blender, then I made a segment of custom track and made it fit the curve of the spline. Then I imported it back into nolimits and made it so that it moves with a hidden transfer track that is triggered by the train entering the launch track, resulting in what you see. Again, I’ll probably make a video tutorial but here’s the link to the guide I used nolimitscentral.com/forum/topic/1135
the fact that its running slower on the force graph than in the video is crazy, cant even imagine a fully warmed up version. Also glad to see that the ride lives up to the airtime I thought it had, not what everyone else says about it.
FYI this is only accurate if the accelerometer is afixed to the train, if it's just in your pocket the G's are massively damped by your body and clothing acting as suspension
Yes, if one were to acquire an Apple Watch you could hold it near the center of your chest to attain more accurate readings of what a rider would experience while riding, however I do not own an Apple Watch but the forces shouldn’t be too far off from the actual values.
@@Intamindator_305 I don't think that would be true values either as your body moving around damps forces, but the forces are still there as that's why you moved, the best you could do with a watch would probably be to keep a really tight geip of the shoulder restraint which hopefully stays still, but I have no idea I haven't been on i305 sadly
It's running faster in the video haha 😅 I've been waiting for this, this proves wrong those who say I305 has no airtime, I KNEW that camelback pulled more than -1 g! I'm so happy 🤣
Since my computer sucks, in order to make the video look smoother I slow down the simulation in nolimits to record it and speed it back up in post. The audio doesn’t slow down with the simulation and when I speed it up it ends up sounding like you opened a car window on the highway going 60mph.
I love the portion pre-swing launch. I think that so well understands what makes roller coasters fun. it's not all about the biggest/fastest/loopiest elements, that whole section just moves in such a fun way. Very well done.
Thanks, I tried to mimic Velocicoaster’s fast paced first half mixed with Pantheon’s inversion and off axis airtime moments for the pre-launch section.
