we had a rig, looked like a lawnmower deck, mounted on two 2x6s and tapped the boards, we dragged it down the forms, it had spreader bar type clamps for each end...14' wide was about max w/no sag. rake hand in the middle.... usually 80ish feet for base pads for truck/railroad scales.... but i still have my 16 ft alum screed board
Check out this young homeschooler as he gets hands-on experience with the Batt Screed! Learning about trades at a young age is valuable and deserves encouragement and celebration. Whether it’s using a roller screed or a 2x4, every method has its place in the concrete construction world.
@@drywallboyz just read it yesterday extending I95 I believe, how much of that you think they stole .. my guess would be 80% of it and that being generous probably 90%. Tax dollars go bye bye
We're worldwide! In the US & Canada dealer locations can be viewed at www.curbroller.com/dealers or you can email info@curbroller.com / call 785-467-3132. International inquiries can email jguerrero@jdhintl.com or call 225-804-6015.
You would have to ask the customer what they did as we just manufacture the curb tool. But use of coverings would depend on the location, weather, and the mix used.
Looks ok, but seems like a lot of work, and toting around that heavy thing 😮💨.. Also it said 50 LF in 3 hours?? We do 250' in 1 hour all by hand😭😂 5 guys. , definitely not worth it here in Florida
Hi Lavonn👋Not all crews are the same and if you’re able to get 250’ done in 1 hour, by hand, then you really have a special crew. For a crew that was only able to get 50’ done in 3 hours, 250’ in 3 hours their first time using the machine is a large step up for them. It also allowed them to stay in an upright position and provide a more consistent shape. We do recognize that not all solutions work for all people. As far as weight, our Marketing Director is able to pull the Curb Roller (video of her can be found on our TT & IG), but we also have a battery powered Curb Maker that is lighter, just for curb, and is made to be moved around quickly. As for Florida, you should check out Full Power Concrete- they have our Curb Roller and Hydra-Pack and do a great job serving their area!
@@CurbRollerManufacturing your right it doesn't work for everyone, I could possibly use it on something, if I can maneuver it to go quicker, I'll do it... How do Yu purchase one and learn how to use it??? , I can possibly start another crew with this
I like the way it cuts the edges for you . Can the machine be adjusted for different profiles. And what’s drum life like? I would imagine wear would be insane on that thing
Our stock drums are interchangeable and take about 5 minutes to switch out. Drums tend to wear out around 30k-60k linear ft, though guide rings last about 6k-8k linear ft before needing to be replaced.
What is the cost for one of these units? What slump mix can it be used with? Would you be able to use it with mix of 50 slump (lower end of S2 class concrete)?
For accurate pricing in your area you can email info@curbroller.com or give us a call. A standard 3-4” slump performs well on most drum styles with various mix types, but about where are you located? That will give our team the best indicator of if that type of spec would work.
I'm proud to say that I reported intermittent flooding across the roadway to MoDOT. It was a dangerous hydroplaning situation on a curved entrance to Interstate 435 (exit from Kansas City International Airport). This was a great solution that continues to be effective. The farm field still feeds into it and there is some silt buildup.
