This is the place we stayed. Old historic very clean. Walking distance to ice cream ship pickled wrinkle. Take the ferry to bar harbor and responsible price. Settlers House at Schoodic Point is the name of the property. Will not allow me to add link here.
The Purple Parrot is where I basically planted my face outside on the ground. Have never been so toasted after a day on the beach, a shower and a little sunburn.
Me and my girlfriend anniversary on the Fourth of July. We are tossed up between dorney park Hershey and six flags America. After all your recent experiences what would you suggest
Happy anniversary...👌👌 NOT Six flags America. If never did hershey it is a must hand down. Love dorney too it has old park feel. Hershey park between these 3 choices. Let me know which one you do. 👍👍
I grew up in Seaside with my grandfather building one of the first houses in Seaside Park. I love that Boardwalk. With that being said, they should hire you to make a tourism video because you made that place look 1/2 Hamptons 1/2 Disney World.
I haven't been to Ocean City's boardwalk since '03. And even that trip wasn't fun (health reasons). But, to this very day, I miss the southern end of the boardwalk. And the not far away horse track. All that said, is there still a Dayton side of The Dough Roller? Our family loved Dayton's Fried Chicken. I was partial to the cheeseburger. But we always had Thrasher's famous Fries to go with it. I also loved Marty's Playland and The Inlet Bar and Grill.
@@AlongForTheJourney Would that I could. Been trying for many of those years. Two things have held me back: money and health. We were never rich, but things have gotten bad wallet wise the last several years. And haven't been healthy enough to go do what I do for a while. In fact, I'm in rehab now, trying to get my balance back
I will be going back to Rehoboth Beach on July 13th-18th, for my 23rd year! This place will never grow old by my standards. Looking forward to grottos, Nicola's, jogging up and down the boardwalk, swimming in the ocean, and just adoring all the scenery that this paradise has to offer.
@@AlongForTheJourney And what you said about grottos, the taste is legendary, but I will admit. It could be a bit bigger. Those other pizzas you went to looked pretty good too.
Grottos has to step up their game... eventually the name will not get them far these other pizza places will run them out of town. You use to have to wait in line for grotto pizza not anymore in the summer.
Grew up near Rehoboth. Nicola Pizza was the place you should have tried. This was a class favorite in the early 80's, after school plays/events, Joan was always a second mom to each of us. Graduated with the current owner. Obie's by the Sea, another great place. I worked for the owner's wife and my ex was the bookkeeper.
I grew up in Georgetown. Rehoboth Beach was one of our stomping grounds often. Locals generally go when the tourists hadn’t got there yet. Grotto did have the best pizza & Thrasher’s by far the best fries once you add the vinegar. One more thing for breakfast you need to find a restaurant that serves scrapple & eggs. Nice video. I do miss the beach since I’m now in the Midwest.
I lived there from 1973 to 1995. I went to high school there. I feel like it was a great moment in time to be there. I visited it about 10 years ago, and it wasn't the same. Its kind of gone downhill a bit. What a shame. I prefer the OBX theses days.
I suffer from vertigo very badly and have inner ear along with balance issues. I would most likely get sick or pass out. I used to love fun houses and it looked like so much fun. ☀️👍🏻
There is Ruth Chris in Berlin outside ocean city if can afford it. There is an outback but I'm usually there for crabs and seafood. Hopefully someone else will comment for you. 👍👍
I went there today and same park. I went on steel force an almost flew outta my seat😢BUT 10/10 RECOMMEND (it's fun and this is coming from someone with motion sickness and afraid of heights and drops)
Did you see Ponzetti's Pizza 🍕 on the Boardwalk in Ocean City , Maryland ? I'm wondering 🤔 if their still their or not went their many years ago ! 😋🥰🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
We’ve lived in Lancaster, PA the past 36 years but, prior to that, we lived in Toms River, NJ prior. We would go to Seaside Heights evenings in the Summer and have picnic supper on a blanket on beach with our children. Great memories.
@12:00....Silverball museum is the best. Been there twice over the years. for about $20 you can play all the pinball you want. It's great. Well maintained old games and new games as well. There's also the Sea, Hear, Now music festival in Sept... which we were a day late for the last time we visited. It was great just walking the boardwalk and watching the work taking it down. Must be a great festival to attend at the beach.
NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE!: Love Seaside Heights, I first saw a beach here as a 20 year old! I have been hooked on beaches since, most of my vacations both international and in the US are to places with great beaches!
Welcome to the channel. We got saot of great content for our beach friends. Follow us on Instagram too. instagram.com/along.for.the.journey?igsh=MXY0ejUybmJ2cTY3ZA==
Hello along for the journey! I’m a 12 year RU-vidr who loves making vlogs! On July 3 me and my family are visiting the Washington Smithsonian zoo in Washington DC and I’m doing a vlog there! We are arriving there at about 8:00am and was wondering if you could do a video there the same day and around the same time so I could meet you in person it would be an honor meet you and feature you in one of my videos!
@@AlongForTheJourney yes I was in rehoboth but my camera storage ran out midway and I was so sad! but we are going to Washington for the Fourth of July! That’s too bad it’s too far away I was really looking forward to meeting you and featuring you in one of my videos! I’m a small RU-vidr with only 240 subscribers and sometimes I feel as though my content isn’t good enough and I was hoping if I could feature you in a video it would possibly help bring attention to my channel! I’ve been trying to get other big RU-vidrs to sponsor me but they never did!☹️
Don’t forget in Ocean City Nj on Tuesday evening July 23rd the Mummers String band I am a marshal with The Jersey String Band we are out of Woodbury heights NJ we formed 6 years ago after the Broomall family retired the name of the Broomall string band will be strutting their stuff from 14th street we will meet up with another band coming from the other direction at 10th street both bands will play a couple of tunes say hello to each other and then march back to their points this happens from 7-9pm on the boardwalk We will also be there but starting from 6th street on August 8th and August 22nd there are string bands that play on Tuesdays and Thursdays in July and August
If yo go back to wildwood you have to try the dole pineapple place it’s right next to the captain jacks next to the boardwalk mall Also if you like Idaho potatoes you have to try the Idaho potatoes fries I think they are better than curly fries it’s located right by mariners landing pier right by the khor ice cream place
Hey guys, thank you for your awesome video. Considering booking the Enchantment of the Seas with Royal Caribbean. Other videos have indicated that "Quality of the food" was hit and miss, that the Cabins are still "old" even after the refurbish a few years ago and entertainment hit and miss. QUESTION: What was your overall impression with the ship?? QUESTION²: Is there a Casino and is not smoking?? I don't smoke. Thank you in advance. 😎⛹️♀️🤸♂️🚴♂️
This ship is an older ship and not like the newer classes for sure. We have been on it many times and would not hesitate going on it again. But I thought the food was good can always find something to eat anywhere. Not sure about casino I try to stay out of that area. But we had a great time on this ship and we like the smaller ships not the mega ships. Plus you can get some great deals on the older ships. For us... it's about the ports you go too. 👍👍
