Nations looking to acquire carriers should consider what the total costs will be. A carrier by itself is a big fat target. They need an air wing, huge amounts of training, supplies, fuel, food stories, escorts, service ships, etc. Last but not least, a crapload of highly trained technical experts & common sea dogs. Optimists: Great!! All the new underwater housing available for the animals!!! Me: Umm, you know there's no way it's gonna pass inspection as a new apartment with all that asbestos and rust and stuff, right?? There will have to be mitigation, demo, thorough cleaning, rebuilding, etc...lots of work! At least the good news is there will be plenty of new jobs available in the construction industry for the marine animals in that area! From unskilled fish labor all the way up to the (hopefully) dolphins and orcas that will be running the executive and management positions. A real boost to the economy in the south atlantic, way to go Brazil!!
