Awesome video! Ouran is one of the few anime I’ve rewatched the most and it still makes me laugh. I do love getting the full story from the manga but everything about the bold outlines and colors of the anime to the comedy and music make it so enjoyable to rewatch. You’re right about the dub too. I can’t tell you how many times as a teen I rewatched the dub bloopers.
All amazing points, and you didn't even touch on Haruhi as a gender queer person and how revolutionary that was, especially back then. As a gender queer person myself, I still think the things she had to say on her gender presentation are so influential and hold up to the standards of the modern day. She didn't let Tamaki's (questionable?) remarks change her stance either. Truly an icon.

Even though I am a hxh fan this was a very good video. I don't agree with everything and the addendum was a good add on to the video that shows a good amount of introspection. I feel like hxh is the kind of series where casually viewing the chimera ant arc and chairman arc is ill advise as imo it is the kind of thing where it ask the audience to put in some effort to think aboit the story a bit. I enjoy the aspect of how hxh mixes strategies into the fight having psychological warfare elements thus not making the characters stupids admittedly does go overboard at times it is worth it. Also being predictable doesn't always mean it will be not good as some stuff being predictable can still be amazing. Overall despite being a hxh and having sone disagreement this was stilla good video as there were some critiques i can agree with as well
[Manga Spoilers ahead] I must say: I really love the twins story in ouran and really think it's the deepest one (together with tamakis of course). What I think is even more amazing, is how amazingly the first deepening episode of their relationship ties together with their charcter development in the Manga. In one of the later volumes, the twins have an actual fight, because both of them fell for Haruhi and Kaoru is a mess since he is the first to realize and has to figure out what to do. A whole ark begins about the two of them (aspecialy Kaoru) realizing, that they need to start being there own individuals. I think that you can really feel that, the closer they both get to haruhi, the much more of their own person they become (walking apart from each other, being in different rooms and not attached by their hips all the time). And the grand finale of the development? That's right: Hikaru changes it's hair color (into black/ash colored) Isn't that just so beautiful? I really loved that connection and just how much thought Hatori put into their story. P.S.: Fanfact: In the Manga there is no blie haired twin. Only one of them (don't ask which one i don't remember) comes to school with flamingo pink hair ^^
Love the twins, i hate when people who havnt given the series a chance and say " well its weird and im not watching cause of TWINCEST!!!😡" like it may seem like that on the outside but the twins are so much more complex and have such a great storyline surrounding them. I honestly feel like the twins were the realest characters beside haruhi atleast in the manga. They made me cry multiple times 😭 great anime and would recommend to everyone to at least try watching once (i also really love the sub and dub and i can only say that about a couple animes) 9/10 for my favorite romance ❤

The characters, the story, the atmosphere, the dubbed subbed being really good, and even the soundtrack that gives it that magical feel to it and pulling your emotions out. I would say more, but you basically cover most of what I would say!
0:34 No. Calling ATLA shonen is saying its target demographic was young boys. It wasn’t. ATLA may follow the typical shonen style, it was never marketed for just boys. Shonen often focuses primarily on the male characters while the female characters are just there for fluff or to motivate the guys, often being written poorly (Naruto and MHA come to mind). ATLA doesn’t have this problem. It’s part of what makes it so great.
i love ouran sm but the beach episode really put me off when kyoya became a toxic ass and dubbing his actions as “it’s so you learn a lesson about being too independent” like his actions are not ok and i don’t understand why Hatori did that

I think you are going to like them: their songs are BANGERS, the mvs are phenomenal (rose blue makes me cry every time). they (re)debuted at the very end of 3rd gen so their music catalogue is huge but it's never too much of the same thing bcs they do concept switches and sound evolution while never abandoning their identity (bringing rock to the (kpop) masses).
I keep coming back to ouran because every character is written well and I have yet to see a show where every single one of the characters complement each other, I think that’s why there interactions are so entertaining to watch. Also, the more you watch you realize that tamaki not only made a host club but he changed everyone in the groups lives and his own ( also how could you not talk about koarus pumpkin theory and the Halloween episode it adds so much depth to the show )
I love ouran high school host club one of the best anime i finished reading manga 1 mouth ago and I was satisfied with ending hope they will animate the rest of manga!
Ouran High School Host Club deserves a remake! While this adaption was amazing! Don't get me wrong! But I wish it got a second chance to follow the Manga faithfully! I know it's not going to happen but at least we have the original.

I dont want a remake of this show. I think its honestly perfect as it is. The only thing i would want is a continuation with the same VAs (the parts of the manga that were left out) and possibly some OVAs
Just finished the anime yesterday, it was way more enjoyable than i expected it to be I should not have listened to the haters back in 2017, the show has so much heart Its such a basic simple battle shonen, but watching it genuienly made me happy Its a stressful period and I'm getting worked to the bone, but Asta's simplicity and positivity is inspiring, motivating, it makes me want to become a better person and not be so jaded and bitter about life
It’s also wild that it actually had a good amount of homo-erotic subtext that anime and of course US media was ashamed to even show. Haruhis dad, who is either trans or a drag queen, or both! Is not played off as a joke, at least not anymore than any other main character. Haruhi loves her dad who also had a genuine love for his wife who affirmed his exploration in bending gender norms. A gem of the early 2000s
what Toby didn't mention is that I not only got Tickets to Ateez , Stray Kids and TXT...but I got premium seats . I spent over $1000 for those 3 tickets...for a up close view...and it was worth every penny...and will do it again to see EXO, BTS or Enhypen, or any other of my bias groups/members. When you go down that rabbit hole called Kpop it starts to get expensive...but it's literally healing for me...who needs a therapist when I got my groups.
omg the best nights of my life was at the TXT concert with my son Toby...we sang anti-romantic along with the crowd. it was magical...Toby and I both learned the Korean words of the song to sing it that night...and it was Awesome....🥰😍😇

BTS were my first introduction and longest love. Still have a special place in my heart. In late 2018 and early 2019 there were news about new BigHit boy group and I was just normal level curious about them because from rumours the members were somewhat close to me by age. Little did I know that they will become one of my reasons I wake up and go to bed late😁 I laugh, get upset and cry with them every day. I’m so emotionally attached that I don’t know how to live without them anymore 🥹 gosh…why am I crying now🥲 TXT is the only group I know each and every song. I really enjoy their music. I don’t even remember how my life was before k-pop😕
kpop is a big adventure for everyone who do not let language or any judgement barricade them! And its a fun journey as long as its not harmful, why not rightt
Tubatu music is always a fresh concept, like u would anticipate what sound they will make next comeback and what message the whole album they'd put out. As a moa since debut, I admit to easily unstan groups once I don't love their music anymore making me a casual fan but TXT never made me stray away from them. Because every idol is funny and heartwarming and good to watch but music means a lot more to me.
