I got the Xbox playable Demo along with Mercenaries & Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory teaser. I wish they kept the original voices of the Gnucci Goons & Bushwacker in the actual game, they were intimidating as it is. I also assume that Thomas Jane was voicing as well…
I was looking for the original demo and I’ve found it. I got this CD from a PlayStation magazine my dad bought me from a Chapters book store. I would always want one anytime we visited there because I knew they came with demos and played my fair share (he had no idea there were some M rated games on those, blood and horror😂) The graphics were insane back then, truly amazing for its time. You just had to be there. I was 7 years old and this demo was sort of scary but the ambience alone was immersive and all I remember doing was running the horse all around the landscape exploring and climbing the giant but never being able to kill it. Crazy looking back how games have evolved. This truly pushed boundaries for its time and is another Sony masterpiece
Who else is coming back to watch this after playing the new Special Edition re-release? Finally after years we get to see what the rest of the game is like!
Well now I feel like an idiot. I had no idea there was more to this demo than the first village. My 4 year old brain never realized that you had to use items to progress, like the Furious Tornado to get rid of the fog at 4:45. lol
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE SONG??? i had this same demo disk (Blue with a big number "8" on it) I GOTTA LISTEN TO THE SOUNDTRACK TO FIND THIS. edit: FOUND IT. it's "Monestary interior Level 4"
God this demo disc blew me away when i was 15, i remember me and my lil bro would switch off on Tony Hawk for hours. Whats interesting is that the FF8 demo uses a beta version of the Dollet landing track. It had to be changed for retail due to similarities to i think the title theme from The Rock.
Such good memories ! I didnt even remembered the game name until some years ago when the second game was announced. Played so many times this demo on my ps2, the part with the guards were so terrifying when i was a kid xD
