Like really mellow notes from a day gone by that just float on by & take u with it....yea man....the previous statement is from a now flashback that was ....well.... quite enjoyable!!!!!😊😊😊😊
I recorded this song from the radio on to a cassette back in the 70s when we all did that sort of thing. I had the song in my head and searched for it many years but I never knew the name of this song until now. I am happy to find it at last… 😊
This is actually from September 10, 1984. When Clarence appeared again on the show on May 21, 1985, he performed “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” with Steve Jordan back in the Drums position.
Such a joy to get back listening to the awesome drums of Gadd which is such vehicle for the tune.. It's all so obviously beautiful but seems to have a life of its own, constantly changing around its theme. Steve Gadd was and is amazing where his sensitivity and ability to be there and support everyone else shines through while his distinct, personal way of playing is so enjoyable!
There’s bit of all sorts in this track, it’s like a cut and paste job of typical Dan’ bits and pieces. To me it has no merit and it’s obvious that’s why it’s a dropped track. BTW, before you all pile on, I’ve been into SD since Can’t buy a thrill came out and I know what I like 👍
Best deconstruction of a TV series ever. Literally, in the case of the car. For those that don't know, this was part of an actual episode - the one right before the series finale - of the Monkees TV show.
Gordon although troubled was a complete musician who was used by many producers. A complete package in the line to the throne of Blaine Palmer and of course Porcaro
A masterpiece of an album, and this is the sparkling diamond on top. The composition, the top level players, highlighted by Michael Omartian, Wayne Shorter, and Steve Gadd. Of course, there is Larry Carlton and the unreal guitar solos by Denny Diaz. I was 22 when this was released. it is just as fresh today as it was then.
I used to play in a deathcore band and we'd occasionally play this as our sound check. This or Boris the Spider. We never found a sound guy who thought it was funny though.
