I really wasn't expecting to hear scales and arpeggios from the woodwinds played that fast. Really nice work on inspiring the kids to a new level of performance.
I played this piece in 7th grade, rehearsals went well up until the concert. When it was time to play it went horribly, our band teacher wasn’t mad but disappointed and genuinely saddened by how we did. The following year he was gone, we played this song once again for our winter concert but it didn’t feel right. I never got the satisfaction of playing that piece with our old teacher.
this is truly incredible. when i was in middle school we played grade one and two. it’s incredibly impressive that this band is playing grade 5s and 6s
Another amazing performance by this group!!!. The consistency of their superior performances, year after year, speak to great teaching and hard work by all.
I remember playing this in sixth grade lol. I was the only one on clarinet to play the bottom notes I think on measure 34-40. I found the music copy, lol
This director/band have won honor band many times. Their consistency of exemplary playing is phenomenal....Year after year the performances are amazing. The director and the teaching program have to be top notch.
I’m a sophomore in highschool, we performed this piece 2 days ago in the Emerald city Oregon concert band festival and for being a middleschool, this group sounds incredible.
