I am a fan of arcade games and enthusiast for great games. I especially enjoy STG or "Shmups". I speedrun games as well as do high score runs and 1 credit clears.
Yeah its a newer trick, like a few years old. Heh. How it's done: jump with your back against the wall and let go the dpad. Once youre at the top, you must perform a simultaneous right input and jump on 1 frame. Otherwise you fall back down. I'm currently working on deathless GnG Resurrection. Excellent runs as always. Do you have any tips for the Satans in American Ghosts n Goblins? It’s such a shocking difference between Makaimura rev. G and the old American release.
Yeah You can choose to spawn them then immediately go down and fight on the left, but another strategy is to spawn them then walk to the right. You get more room that way. Use the ladders for dodging ability. Generally, the satans will swoop once most of their body is on the screen for somewhere between 1.5 to 2.5 seconds. It varies. If you can predict the swoop you might get them over you instead of under. Really tough though. I got a couple clears on my channel that demonstrates my strategy.
Oh yeah, if you have them on the run and you're really close to them, that will interrupt their swoop AI until they have some room inbetween you and them. That can be advantagous if you use that info.
@@neoxaquas looks like the Italian bootleg run shows it well! I’ll try it out myself in MAME. Awesome! I swear those guys will absorb hits when its wings are open and should be vulnerable. Dirty tricks! I can run the game pretty well but those Satans are showstoppers.

Always loved STGWeekly and appreciate your work. I miss Yace. If you enjoy your PSTV a lot, you may or may not know about chovy sign, which lets you use a ps1 or psp game that you already own over PSN, then essentially copy that license to use for any PS1 or PSP game you want. Then just use QCMA to transfer. I'm not sure if it's exactly the same process for PSTV, but let me tell you, being able to play basically any PS1 or PSP game on my Vita has been a dream come true. I only really like playing games for five or ten minutes during a work break or between classes at university, so it's perfect to have a handheld that fits in a jacket pocket and plays such a huge library. Also, with imbnes, you can compile a PS1 game that more or less perfectly emulates NES, for most NES games, then transfer it over. I'm sure you have better options to play your games, but if you're cautious of CFW or other things on the PSTV, and you really like the PSTV, chovy sign lets you basically just use the built-in PS1 and PSP emulators/chips to run games.

I used to think the Ghosts 'n Goblin series was impossible to 1CC, with the reputation of its difficulty. I remember back in the day, you could win a special PS3 theme from the Japanese Playstation Store for beating the original Ghosts 'n Goblins on Capcom Arcade Cabinet.
@@neoxaquas I did a Bing search for "カプコン アーケード キャビネット テーマ", and found a theme that depicts Arthur with golden armor and a princess. It was available between November 19, 2013 to January 14, 2014.
As someone who loves Black Tiger and never tires of it, I absolutely cannot stand this game. I can appreciate the graphics and music though:) Hard to believe this was released the same year as Black Tiger.
Alex is easily my least favorite character; the attack shot is okay, but the support shot is miserable to try and hit anything with, and the defense shot doesn't seem to defend against jack. Nice you can do well with her.
This was awesome, man. You handled those bosses like a boss, hahahaha! I was thinking about this game the other day and about how it would be almost impossible to beat the game without taking damage, so I was interested how a speedrun would look. I love this game and the first time I played it when I was young, I played it on professional because I hated the simulation aspect of it, hahahaha. I played the game "normally" when I got older. I would have a hard time speed running this because even when I do speedruns, I have a habit of killing everything.
3 years between most recent comments lol. Just about had a heart attack watching this. I remember this in the gas station arcade near my house growing up. Not the best memories lol. Pretty amazing run - There aren't many people in the world that can pull off a feat like this.
I don't know much about Pink Sweets or the final boss. At around 1:16:47, why did you move out of the bomb so much earlier than the other times when missiles were coming out? Was it nerves or just in preparation for the next attack? The early move seemed to mess you up, but I don't know if this is just bad luck. That run-ender hurt. If he used any other attack, you probably could've gotten away. The fortitude to take on this game and perform these milks is insane. Keep it up dude!
Yeah I thought the boss might ram me there unfortunately so I moved out of the bomb. I didn't need to - just got scared of it happening. And the last death I should've moved down immediately in case that attack was used. Will fix it for next time. Thanks for checking it out.
