Definitely looks gnarly in the shadows. I broke both my arms snowboarding bombing too fast and getting into shadows and not seeing rough snow on a groomer. Scary...
@xXxTeenSplayer the Forest Service nationally still considers anything with a motor as motorized. So ebikes can only be ridden legally on motorized trails. The BLM on the other hand, ok'ed them, but left it up to each field office to decide to allow ebikes or not.
Pretty awesome solo adventure trail and perfect use of the “get up and go” machine. Just got my own (e.bike…same motor) and looks like a perfect one to add to the list. How much was the vertical, when it was all said and done? Single battery, I assume? I’ve def got you by a number of years, so want to make sure I (and a single battery) can cut it, ha ha.
Not STOL. Death drag. Come in steep, full flaps, min speed based on weight/temp. Rotate at 6 feet AGL Full aft stick and full reverse. Touch down is soft and as short as possible.
Now what do you do for work and can I come work for you? Haha I'm up in Colorado amazing setup man, from the plane to the superjets! seriously I'll quit my job tomorrow
What motor does the YT have? Honestly, I would lean towards YT. I’ve had issues with mine lately. Maybe I got a lemon. Recently, just snapped one of the upper shock bolts. Called intense and are sending me updated version that aren’t hallow. Anyways, I would favor YT. I’ve heard good things.
Whew...not sure with the prices nowadays. Everything is overcharged, especially the 180/185s. Mine is a 1953 with a lot of mods. Nice on going for your PPL, keep at it!
Sam, where did you get the checklist you used in the Luscombe? Would you be willing to share it? I'm in the process of purchasing a Luscombe and am looking for examples of checklists.
