back in 1997 I saw a complete run of boxes, all series from 1952 to date. There was an open box, with cards and wrappers, the other was untouched. My partner wanted to buy it all, but the man laughed
Just they way the weak hands opened the whole thing. You are a weakling with a weakness for gifts. It's strange how the weakest people play at the levels they do. It was excruciating to watch this paper pusher play around.
Back in 2002, i bought a 70 Executive from an estate sale. 1 owner 70k original miles. old lady died and was in her estate. Paid $400 for it. I drove it occasionally for a couple years then sold it for 1250. That thing was like floating on a cloud!😂 it was a fun cruiser.
I think it was a repack. What the hell was that inner lining thing? Supposed 2 get at least one hall of Famer. Gum wasn't sticking to that cards. He got ripped off.
I played softball back in the 70’s with a guy who had collected cards with his dad all of his life. His dad passed away in the late 60’s, and he and his mom kept the cards because it was a memory of them being together. My mom sold all of my cards at a garage sale, including a complete set of ‘65 Topps obtained by buying packs (traded 12 comic books to get Warren Spahn to complete the set). My friend decided to look back at the cards when collecting surged in popularity. He found 7 Mantle rookies… it was his dads favorite player so he didn’t sell at that time, against all the advice from team members! We said keep one, sell the rest. Haven’t seen him in 40 years!
You were SCARING me on how shaky your hands were, dude. And also at the beginning, on how you pressed so hard on the GAI pack in the plastic container as you almost cut the corner off the slab with the scissors as you were breaking it open, and almost torquing/bending the entire pack at one point (0:35 minute mark) and then literally torquing it again, shown in how the wax paper was bending (at the 1:11 minute mark). Scary video! I was sweating!! Next time, please use a scalpel blade and cut along the three edges and simply (and gently) open out the plastic slowly like a hinge, then slip out the pack. Hate to see you damage this 70 year old treasure just before you reveal the cards! Peace.
You have to have a last series pack for a chance at Mickey. In a first series pack if you had gotten a real nice Andy Pafko (#1) that could've been worth just as much if not more so!
