I have the same foot and an elna 3210. I do everything the same but when I start sewing it goes forwards and not backwards and then just keeps going forward without stopping until I stop sewing. I don't know what is wrong and how to remedy this. Please help.

Thank you! I also have an Elna and the bit about the buttonhole lever is so poorly marked I didn’t realise I had to pull something down, which made my machine get completely lost once it got to the end of one side!

Mines is not working I did every thing you said I set my machine on one for the button hole but the material will not move I have done everything why isn't it making a hole ?

The video is difficult to follow. Written or spoken instructions would be much more helpful. When you are making the small folds and then doing the accordion pleats, it's nearly impossible to see where to fold.
