Dick Delaney has been entertaining and performing professionally since age 13. He was a national touring artist for the Hammond Organ Company back in the 60's, an Embassy Records recording artist, hotel and nightclub entertainer and the owner of three piano and organ retail stores in New Hampshire and Boston. He most recently returned to entertaining Senior clubs and retirement communities with his vocals and instrumentals on the Technics Keyboard and has now retired.
Very nice hammond sounds and the hawai effect... I had a hammond hx100 the same as the old h100 model with footswitch for and make the same hawaian effect... I like these old style playing its warm and there are not many people who can play like this... I am from the Netherlands and we had in the 60's Cor Steyn also a hammond organist with his own style playing also a authentic... there also on youtube many lp's from Cor Steyn... hé played also the magic organ with 3 klaviers that was a project organ build by Jaap Keizerwaard in the 60's ...
musica sabrosa! this is so cool!! Im 28 and still love this music. I have a sweet spot for pure analog instruments and this type of style specifically is some of my favorite to listen to. I imagine Im on the beach metal detecting. I have built up a huge collection of organ mp3s from youtube and records found at thrift stores and have discovered a lot of awesome hidden jems! A lot of this stuff I find I bet has never even made it on to CD, digital or youtube yet I garanty. I even put the wii shopping song in my mp3 collection because it meshed so nicely with the rest of the stuff in my collection. I also own a yamaha electone from the 1980s and got my first electronic organ (A lowrey) in 2012 when I fell in love with the instrument. It is a lot of fun to learn and play!
........as I watch my 1960's Aunt's go "Bosa Nova" by with their giant bouffants and fitted sheath dresses , dancing together at yet another big family wedding.....this is the wacky and wonderful soundtrack that plays in my memory ! All kidding aside , Dick really "kills" it on his super-fabulous Hammond !!! Lush and over the top .....and pretty damn AWESOME !!! Thanks Dick for the trip ! ♥️
Yes very lively, Dick Delaney, which I was back with this music, then all the garbage going on today. America is not grown up today. Glad I lived when music and ideas were normal. That is why I go back to happier times with this music.
I always loved your music in your organ playing very fantastic because I like how you add extra notes into all these organ covers you been doing and it’s really fantastic I’ve been listening to you since 2013 and yet you’re one of the best Organ players out there keep up the great work
