Ik I'm a little late to this... but dude... I straight up thought this was fan made... I had NO idea this was confirmed for TTR... I'M SOO EXCITED!! Soo... this makes me believe that this place will unlock once you have finished the final fight of the game. Maybe the Chairman perhaps?? Because once toons are here... they'll know that it is FINALLY over. I don't think TTR is gonna do that though... it's just a thought had...
This track doesn't seem quite finalized just yet. The instrument microphones are a bit scattered, there are staccatos where there shouldn't be, and lots of notes are drowned out. Hopefully these things will be considered in the officially released wave!
This is a two month old late reply, but I assume that many of the issues within this track are likely due to the fact that the audio is fairly compressed, as this was recorded by me from the Toonfest livestreams (as opposed to them being the actual audio files, if you get what I mean). I could be wrong though as I don't really have a good ear when it comes to music. (I love your work on TTR, by the way! Thanks for commenting <3)
@@themingler compression doesn’t affect separate instrument articulations-it just affects the track’s sound quality as a whole. Kind of like changing the quality of a photo by putting it through a compressor online or something along those lines. My comments mostly have to do with what the instruments themselves are doing. Same thing with instrument positions, it kind of makes the track sound awkward because of the inconsistencies accumulating 😅. I’m confident that if the composer remastered this track from the ground up only using their ear, it would match my vision much more than using the midi that I’ve provided (compositionally speaking), because it would force this person to follow the original note values and such directly. If we’re strictly using definitions, this is more in line with a “remix” rather than a remaster. But yes, I can also tell that the audio was compressed from the beginning. Anyway, enough of my TedTalk! Music composition is a very meticulous process and I want to see it thrive in the game even after I’m involved with the TTR team.
@@WoodSimon Thank you so much for the very in-depth reply! Remastered is in it's early stages (at least when this video was uploaded) so I do hope that we get to see the track improve as time goes on. I have a lot of confidence in TTR's composers as they're all very very talented. Have you considered sending your feedback over to the current composers? I'm not sure how it works over there, and I'd understand wanting to move on from your previous projects, but it may be beneficial if it's something you're interested in doing!
What gives you that idea? They could be pulling a Clash move with that volcano and have a cog hideout there (this concept image is nothing like the final playground). They will be revealing more things about it next year.
@@snackerslc its cuz theyre saying a lot like it will be free from cogs, for now, thats why im confused, im not as good as retaining information as you are, that would be cool though, what you’re saying
So, is the TTR team ending the entire storyline with this playground? I see a lot of people calling this the final playground but I'm not entirely sure what that entails. I'd hate to see the story end.
im sure this music will change whenever it actually releases, but the part at 0:30 sounds a LOT like the make-a-toon theme. considering this will now supposedly be the final playground, it's really cool to have that callback to the start of the game.
it just sounds so happy and nice and literally exactly perfect for a place like this and it makes you forget about everything else that's going on and i love it
Since you asked who to credit, you can credit me and Jac, a former composer for the team. She wrote the melody you hear at 0:05 to 0:10 and I expanded on it and set it to the bossa nova.
@@joepho5148 Great choice of game for reference, I loved that series growing up, and this immediately reminded me of Wakeport's theme from that game. Definitely looking forward to hearing everything else y'all cook up for Clear Coasts!
