I still don’t get why lead isn’t used for the apron flashing, this winter alone I’ve been to 3 jobs where that fake lead has lifted, in one instance, it’d had torn off, all jobs were in windy areas.
Don’t see the sense of using 125w panels these days unless your roofs that small this system would be job specific .. And with using the lead alternative this is all good until you hit a roof with a deep pan tile …then you end up with a messy job as trying to run from a flat back into a deep pan is a nightmare . Better systems out there allowing you to use 400 plus w panels for better yield .
Hi, how does Porotherm do in coastal areas in the British isles. Is it vunerable to heavy winter storms or anything like that? Sorry if its a dumb question
Hi Callit, thank you for your question. The compressive strengths of Porotherm’s core range are typically 10 N/mm², which is more than standard concrete blocks that are usually around 7 N/mm². As fired clay products are one of the most durable and versatile materials, these blocks will match the durability of traditional clay bricks.

what is we have plasterboard? How do you cut the bricks? how do you out them half way only by the hob (under cupboards) and around the worktops, sink etc?
Hi. Could you tell me why facing brickwork is not laid simultaneously with protoderm block and insulation as in traditional construction, please? You would still need wall ties etc
Hi Wienerberger UK , Great video you have produced here, I really enjoyed it, great content. I particularly enjoyed the part at 0.45 explaining the qualifications your require for this kind of work. Similar to myself. I felt it was really informative and you really brought the point across well. I am really interested in engineering and have had a career in maintenance engineering for over 28 years from everything from starting as a mechanics assistant to now a Project Manager. I enjoy sharing my skills and knowledge as well with others like yourself. I have provide training to others and had apprentices work with me to kick start there careers. Many thanks, Great job.
A terrible video, you don't show what tools to use, how to cut bricks, where to start, how to measure out, what to do if walls don't run true. These videos pointless in helping anyone with no prior experience!
Apprentice in UK you work towards degree level qualifications through work at a reduced rate of pay unt you qualify. Gets you a lot more hands on experience then just going to uni
