The Pershing family never liked what the city did to Pershing Square. Taking out most trees .. one big empty space with now truly ugly giant concrete sculptures. LA never understood what parks are really all about. The sculptures are truly atrocious JC ... Last of the General Pershing family.

The process is antiquated and confusing. If they want to build more housing they need teams from each department that collectively handle each project. Each team has a number of cased assigned per month all online submissions no paper! For low-income housing have staff engineers and architects to bring down costs instead of taxing the public then miss managing billions of Dollars. Its simple not sure why they can't get this done. ohhhh ya there's too much money that's being made..
Would like to know why a finished attic could not be turned into a home sharing space, if the owner lives in the rest of their house a primary residence.
Regarding the center of DTLA on the street level of the Historic Core. The central issue in the DTLA core is how to deal with homelessness and all its ramifications. Any zoning changes and other incentives will not benefit the new residents and small businesses struggling in the area unless those solutions, including micro-units, re-opening the streets for pedestrians use, and county-wide treatment facilities are useless.
Senior Citizens in 90011 need a new facility, built and furnished, with a swimming pool and all accommodations for the handicapped. Every dollar spent during the last 10 years is for children and immigrants. They have enough parks, swimming pools, playgrounds and schools.
How did the architect for the control tower even land that job? Such a travesty to put such a fugly piece of junk next to that mid century masterpiece! That tower is beyond HIDEOUS and they should be EMBARRASSED!

Walk to stop + wait time + bus trip + transfer time (walk to stop + wait time) + bus trip + exit time + time to destination = ~45min (no transfer) to 2hours on average Your adverts neglect to factor in real world scenarios. BH to downtown is at minimum 35 minutes away. BH to santa monica is at minimum over an hour and more than likely 1 hour 40 minutes as two transfers are need. ththis makes it impractical to travel this way.
They don't want people to understand that most of their life will be living waiting on government transportation. I'll keep my car and move to a state that doesn't have VMT.
It's funny how people focus on public transportation and long distance commutes. If you live nearby where you work and where you shop you won't need to do much of either. I'd rather walk 10 minutes to work then drive an for an hour. You can still live in your suburbs but without this change in the law, city development will always be hampered by requirements for wider lanes and massive amounts of parking.
This is a BIG trouble with the City hiring the pishers like this guy. Isn't City have sources and connections to hire Senior People who retired and just willing to help? I met with this guy several times and was willing to vomit after. THIS DEPARTMENT IS NOT FOR YOUNG BUREOCRATS AND CARIERSTS.
