(but just not to you) "I bet your husband is going to be really happy about that!" "My wife I'm sure is out there." My first date was VERY FLIRTY. He matched with me and I matched back and he then sent a message on hinge saying, “hey, I am going to be very forward, I am going abroad for a year, in two weeks and I really like you and want to take you on a date and don’t have much time left”, I was really surprised on how confident he sounded and was willing to go on this date with him, eventhough atp, we haven’t spoken at all and don’t know anything about each other the date he set was like 4days after that chat of him sliding into my dm with a date request, I accepted to go on the date and we started talking on the app, the conversation was very FLIRTY and sexual but I thought I will still want to get to meet him due to his confidence and like him wanting to go on a date even before we started a conversation. I was also a bit uneasy with the sexual talks, so ask him if he wanted to have sex on the first date, cause that sounded like what he was implying. He reassured me that, that was not the case at all, that he just really liked me and he was trying to impress me because he is living the country for a year Tell me why this guy texted me the night before our date that he had Covid so needs to reschedule the date (for context this happened last month). At this point there was only 10days before he was moving countries for a year. So I said that’s fine if he has Covid and asked to pick another date, he picked a day which was 3days before his departure. So we continued talking on the app, and the flirt and sexual conversation continued, the night before the date, we were taking so much on WhatsApp and he was saying how he can’t wait to see me and that. We said goodnight to each other, and I said I was looking forward to seeing him the next day evening. The next day he has blocked my number everywhere, I was so shocked and disappointed. That was very weird cause we ended the conversation the night before really well and I was so shocked how he blocked me everywhere with no explanation and didn’t even get a first date with him I am still shocked and I deleted hinge since then, cause that was a pretty weird and confidence knocking experience

Being at “my best” actually attracted some really gross people into my life for a point in time before I formed boundaries for myself. It’s a very shallow world out there.

Oh sounds like the date I just went on, but thankfully not as long. I went on a date with a guy and he hugged me and suggest we do an activity for the next time we meet. Then boom his texting style changed but he still replied just linger and dryer- So I figured he isn’t actually interested but he said he had a business and I gave him the benefit of the doubt and reach out for another date, and he took even longer to reply lol (take a hint) but his responses were still light hearted even though he rejected my initiate request. So I asked next time if he was interested in planning a second date (2 weeks from our initial date). Anyways, 30h no response (no one is ever that busy) said he wasn’t looking for a relationship- even though he said he doesn’t want to hookup???? Took bro a long ass time to just say that. Really kept me waiting. Either way he seemed cool if not for that. He asked to be friends in the end- The End :)

I had a very similar experience. I started my journey this time around at 256.6 Oct 2023 and today I am 184 pounds and have like 30 pounds to go. My old boss told me she thought my profile picture was photoshopped to the weight loss. No I lost the weight in real life. People are sometimes rude in their compliments. They all asked what I did to lose the weight and just focus on the superficial bs. My husband pays no attention to me so not all men find you attractive when you lose the weight. So who knows if we will be together when I reach my goal but I am laser focused on reaching my goal.
I hated yhe first one. It's the only one I've smelled . It smells like rubber and oud & wood...no sweetness at all. I hope and pray the others smell good, as I want to purchase one for the bottle !!! Hahaha

When I was on dating apps, the men were usually very dry with their responses. Like little to no thought put into their responses. It would be like pulling teeth to get more than one worded responses.

it makes sense men are coming out of the woodwork now..i think it would be a lie to say you would date someone ur not attracted to-it would be unfair to u and them. before they weren’t attracted, and now they are so of course they’re gonna come flocking. attraction is usually the first requirement of a relationship, and then personality comes into play. not saying it’s right! but as physical beings/animals it makes sense
I’m pretty sure we all know and understand why some men operate the way they do. The point of mentioning it was to show just how baseline and shallow that way of thinking was when nothing about me but my weight has changed. Physical attraction is not the only attractive quality of a person and it might help to be physically attractive for some, but for the longevity of a relationship, it shouldn’t be the baseline of the relationship. Especially knowing physical looks do fade as we age (at least for most).

As of today, a year later, my car is now at rest. It was unfortunately totaled by a driver who wasn’t paying attention, the driver hit it where it was parked in front of my home. Still happy to have this memory, although a little sad for me now, but ready for a new chapter. 🤍
