round one had me anticipating round two.... jarrod appeared to throw a maybe even super a close jab to jan's face in round two... also an overhand that you could see in round three of the first minute... at least another significant strike in the secondin round 3's second minute as best recalled.... .., but jan's grappling attempts were also adding up along with any striking success he had. entertaining is a yes overall.
Riggs was a weight bully having been at light heavyweight and middle weight between not making weight and losing almost a title fight to Hughes. This was the next fight where he did a lot of clinching to stall. Then after the fight he has to get an IV. He then didn’t wmfight at welterweight for awhile after this too. He needed an iv to recover because he cut too much weight. I’d be pissed to if a weight bully who was talking shit had to be on a gurney with an IV just to even fight at the weight class. Plus he said go back to the WEC when Riggs was fighting there in the same time period.
I trained with Joe in Phoenix hes a very down to earth guy and very chill you would never think he does this kind of shit if you talked to him. He gave Nick a hard time thats for damm sure, Busted him up pretty good.

Eddie btw I is not a judge in reality and Rohan was saying he thought Riggs would need a finish in the 3rd to win. Judges were still just as shitty back then. Not this but many old cards had some curious scorecards. Also Rogan saying Riggs was over 200 pounds after cutting to a welterweight fight. He was roided out and taking IVs and gained almost 40 lbs going into the fight! He was literally fighting welterweights as a light heavyweight 🤔s shouldn’t be legal in lighter weight classes
They fucked riggs over against hughes even tho he lost. They were scared riggs was gona win and ufc didnt want him to have the belt so they kept saying he was over weight until riggs said fuck it n drank water, soon as he did they said the scale was off.
