Wait untill you see the machines needed to chip black butt timber, they stopped planting/harvesting them as hardwood in the 50s in Australia and moved to easier hardwood. I have a beach house made nearly entirely of blackbutt from the 20s that has survived over 100 years of cyclones in far north Queensland and the most recent cyclone and flood didn't even lift the wood shingles or touch the top of its wood stilts. I have to use low velocity .22 Ramsets to do any diy work on the wood because you literally can't drill the wood even with high torque wood augers 💀
Palm finds are soft and machines tend to struggle chipping it since it just wraps around and clogs most machines. Bandit chippers are much better at handling palm than Vermeer
