Suzuki comes from pretty humble beginnings and now has over 100 years of heritage behind its name. Michio Suzuki, then a producer of looms (a device used for weaving textiles) pursued his passion for cars and bikes and founded the company in Hamamatsu, Japan in 1909.
During the post WWII period, Suzuki’s motorized bike - the Power Free - earned a reputation for quality and reliability. Hot on its tracks was the 125 cc Colleda motorcycle and the pioneering Suzulight lightweight car that stimulated Japan’s automotive revolution. Michio Suzuki’s focus was simply on reliable, affordable methods of transportation.
Each of these vehicles was a significant development, as they were engineered by optimising the most advanced technologies of the period. So since 1955, Suzuki Motor Corporation has grown immensely and today their products are available in 192 countries worldwide.
We created our first outboard motor in 1965 and will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the D55 in 2015. We ha
Suzuki outboards are not a smart purchase. I bought a new 60hp four stroke … nothing but problems with phantom overheating alarms, vst corrosion and fuel issues. The dealer won’t help, it has 60 hrs on it
Dear Chris, we are sorry to hear this. In order to follow up, can you let us know your serial number and which dealer you are dealing with? Regards, Suzuki Marine SA
@@suzukimarinesouthafrica wow thanks for replying, I bought it from rogue motion in South Carolina. I took it in for the first service 2 yrs ago. I got it back and it was leaking fuel out the foot, overheating in 2 min after starting.
Music is terrible! I tried my best to force my way through it because I am very interested in the outboard. Who designed this advertisement? Beautiful harmonious nature at the beginning, then annoying rock music infiltrating nature-horrible.
I have a 2019 Suzuki DF175AP and during a propeller check I noticed a 0.65 mm (0.025 inch) prop shaft end play. Service manual says it should be no backlash. It is safe to use it as it is?
Replaced 2 Yamaha 115 With 2 DB140GB ! The 115s were way better They used 6-7 gallons a Hour and the 140s use 7-8 at same RPM with a Slower Speed !!Waiting for 14x23 Props ! Very hard to Get!!!
I had Power Tech build me 14x23 props ! I was red lining with Suzuki 14x 21 !!! The Power Tech Dropped my RPM by close to 1000 RPMs Top Speed about the Same as 115s Yamaha!! So you tell me Why a 13.75x17 Will run same speed at 5k as a 140 Suzuki with 14x23 at 5.5k
Use the muffs. No point in using that port. Best thing is to flush your engine with the muffs while the engine is hot. Or you can easily remove the t-stat and put the t-stat cover back on and flush it when the engine is cold. Just dont forget to put the t-stat back in. And if the guys at the marina say use that little port.. Dont let them work on your boat..
so if i need to started at home before i leave on my trip use the muffs instead of the port? cause i just need to know if it starts up before i get to the boatramp
Hi kevin just n question looking to buy n navarone 14,6 f what would your engine choice be for twin instalation and for single instalation boat wil be used for ofshore fishing and what motor for a kicker backup for single instalation
Curious as to whether this completely flushes the whole engine, if the thermostat is closed? Should you also run on muffs or in a drum, to get the thermostat open?
I am also curious about that answer. Can never get a straight answer, if running with muffs, you have to make sure you are running long enough for the thermostat to get opened, if not, then the muffs do the same thing.
@@boydscj7 Agree...lotta discussions about this!!! Suzuki recommends the muffs as the "preferred method" of flushing in the owners manual for my DF115. The marina where I purchased says use the flush port. Confusing huh? It is also recommended to use the round muffs versus the rectangular ones on a DF115...
@Roger Otto how’s the oxygen levels up there on your throne, oh mighty one? I was gonna “Like” your comment until I read the last condescending sentence.
Here for the same question. No one seems to know for sure. I'd like to use the ports without engine running if it is proper. I read on a forum that someone flushed only from port. When the motor was apart due to a bad head gasket, he confirmed that the engine was completely clean. Its encouraging but not enough for me. Hoping the video creator comments!
@@smazza78definitely do not run the motor if you are using the flush ports. Only run the motor if using muffs. I have had outboards my whole life as has my father. From the day manufacturers started adding flush ports that’s all we have used and have had absolutely no issues.
I have one and I’m speechless, fuel consumption, power, smoothness, quietness, trolling, warranty etc, just amazing. In BC Suzuki has taken over, the only choice now. Well done, Love ya!
