Gerrard won I trophy out of 9 he will never be a top manager failed in England now he is in Saudi tells you everything everything you need to know the nonsense yous guys are talking 😂😂😂anything rangers spend celtic can spend double
Just like to take issue with Adam's comment about Igamane's style of play having nothing to do with the manager but rather the player's individuality if i picked him up correctly. Who do you think looks at videos of potential signings and what their particular skill can bring to the club? It's the manager and i think it does a disservice to PC on this occasion. Early days with the lad but we could be seeing a burgeoning talent. 🇬🇧🇬🇧💙
Barron is a great signing, very alert good in tight spaces and great distribution. The game at Darkhead passed him by but he wasnt alone there 😢 Igamane looks a potentially VERY exciting prospect...fast, strong, great on the ball and seemingly a strong finisher
Said this before we signed him with the videos I watched I thought he looked good (ofcourse youtube vids are not definitive but you get a glimpse). He looks like he could be quality once he settles in.
Thought Cortez, Jefte, Barron, Igamane and Bajrami all looked good today. 3 points and down the road. Still think Tav needs to be given a few games rest.
@Clubat22 oh I completely agree but he's going nowhere at the moment and know Clement won't bench him until he's no longer a Rangers player, was the best solution I could think off 😉
@gregorleishman I am in total agreement we need to move on from Tav and it is time for someone else to get a run at RB. But as you said, I don't see Clement making that change
Impressive 1st half, dropped off somewhat in the 2nd but Butland not really troubled. Still suffer from 2nd goalitis which frustrates but back home next week for a cup game and the chance to get a run going. 🇬🇧🇬🇧💙
Just like we all weren't sitting on our hands when Kenny Miller scored in the 4-2 game at Parkhead we have to think of the greater good sometimes...I wouldn't rule out McInnes unless someone is genuinely a far superior candidate, within our budget and suited to our club and league.
Always watch your stuff boys and enjoy it very much but again I'm sorry to say, young Ross is verging on incoherent in parts. Very hard to listen to and too monotonous in his tone. Apologies for mentioning it but perhaps a word on how to engage the viewers when he's on would be beneficial.
Can't understand the rationale of criticising him like this. Very poor and the lack of support for a fellow fan is even worse. Ross brings a new angle and opinion and is on, I think, his 3rd podcast. Instead of bashing him, maybe try supporting him. Ross has been a valuable asset to the podcast and I for one am looking forward to seeing him progress.
Young lad who is passionate about the club and trying his foot at something out of his comfort zone.... good job he isn't breaking into the first team with support like that. Be nice 🇬🇧
Sorry to hear about this, Rory. You know what Rangers are like - they rarely bring out the dulcet tones in us 😅 Always working to get better and bring the best content to the pod 🙌🏼
A CHANCE things COULD go tits up? Sorry to inform you guys, but things have ALREADY gone that way. And as for McInnes . . . . even to bring that hatchet faced name up is beyond surreal.
Rangers keep making the same mistakes buy crap players so you have to question the scouting system and the board the wee guy baron is the best player rangers have and he was a bit part player for Aberdeen that tells a story itself as for taverner he's gave up coz he knows his squad isn't good enough to lay a glove on celtic by the way the guys scored over a hundred goals from right back short memories
The whole corporate governance issue seems endlessly confusing. FWIW, I see it like this: Ownership: ideally fan owned but that's a pipedream (for now at least). Second best a wealthy Rangers fan (which we currently have). Worst case scenario, non-fan investors looking to extract return or at very worse kill the club (as per White/Green perhaps). I'd stick rather than twist. Non-executive board: Needs a skill mix of business savvy and some football experience to oversee and appoint the executive team. Arguably we have reasonable business savvy but little football-specific experience and skills at present. The current board could expand by appointing new members who would bring that. Gordon Smith would be a controversial first thought, but there will likely be better options if we set a headhunting company the job to find them. Executive board: for day to day running of the football club. We're currently rudderless. We need a CEO the match of Peter Lawell, and an Academy Director as a minimum. Get these right and we can coherently build a successful team over 3-years despite fewer income resources than our city rivals. I'm baffled as to why we haven't prioritised this as a key part of any rebuild. I can only assume the firefighting around Ibrox reconstruction overwhelmed capacity. This is where Bennett as interim executive chair was a major mistake (although he deserves credit for taking it on at least). Manager position: we need continuity and "good enough". IMHO Clement is good enough and we need to back him over 3 years. In that sense, I supported the extension to his contract. He will need support to build whatever coaching team and support structures (medical, sport science) that he needs. Playing squad: Given resource constraints, needs to prioritise potential over immediate quality. Crucially will then need successful development to realise potential. That requires outstanding coaching, opportunity to play regularly, and heavy cover from all governance levels to keep the fans on board while we get slowly better. In other words comms needs to be consistent and high quality with the support. We are currently abysmal at this and risk unsustainable pressure on Clement by ignoring it. Excellent public communication skills (and broad shoulders) must therefore be a priority skillset for any CEO appointment. Anyways, regardless of what happens, we will always follow on.
We are watching but to be fair to all the Rangers podcasts I've seen they've all made fair assessments of the game...I went through the 90's so I know how you are feeling...
