this is such an easy to follow tutorial thanks! I've got a wedding tomorrow and want to do a wet set, but also have a play rehearsal tonight. now i don't have to worry about rocking up looking like a hedgehog with a head full of curl clips LOL
Nice! I'm a diesel mechanic and I've been looking for an easy way to cover up my hair while I'm at work, and this looks perfect. I've been growing my hair longer, and it's getting long enough to get caught under the wheels of my creeper, which is painful and dirty lol
Thanks! We wish we had hair. FYI, LNE.news loved teaching kids about the real Rosie the Riveter, Rosalind P. Walter, last year, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f9NZ8rtn3PA.html
I remember wearing a turban headscarf in a Ryvita factory in the 1970s. It looked quite attractive and I used to wash mine in hot water so the garish yellow cotton faded to a pretty pale shade.Pity the factory workers now who have to wear those ugly nets. This morning I made a scarf with fabric 30" x 30" and remembered how to tie it. So handy for some deep cleaning in the kitchen!! This is a nice easy to watch and listen video, well done Retro Chick.
I'm on a huge time crunch to get my question answered so it would be great if I had an answer back today. What is the size of scarf that you used in this video? Your tutorial is the best one I've seen. Don't want to sound rude but it's part of a birthday gift in two days time! Thanks very much
I don't know if my scarf is not big enough or what, but for the life of my I cannot bring up the sides to tie it and still have enough scarf to comfortably sit around my head. The whole scarf seems to come up!
Thank you for the simple straightforward tutorial. The American ones seem to have to include a lot of talking about themselves and taking too much time to get to the point. I appreciate your help. Thank you. 🙃✌️😈
What are the best dimensions for a scarf? I have 2 square silk scarves, 1 doesn’t cut it length-wise ( maybe i have a massive head since ppl these days are so much bigger), the other scarf is very thin & hand painted, like tissue paper & has a rip... so what is the ideal size & silk type for this exercise?
Finally! Thanks you so much for demonstrating this technique, so simple it wasn't obvious, to me at least. I was beginning to think one needed an engineering degree. You look so lovely!
During the war, if you wore a turban, fur coat and slacks you were considered rather common!!!! Often turbans were worn over curlers in the daytime, then the hair could be combed out in the evening into a nice page-boy bob. I never wore one though.
