You know what I just realized? Andrew Ryan, Sofia Lamb, Frank Fontaine, and Zachary Comstock are all just con artists. The only difference between them is the scam they're trying to sell you.
It's amazing how different both men are when you take the time to listen to their words. For me, Ryan is the one who deserves the mantle of leadership. His words are what inspire people to build Eden in what others might see as a Sodom.
I keep finding these tributes to the Bioshock trilogy, and they are all so well done. Still the greatest video game/story I've ever participated in. I finished Infinite in 2013 and haven't stopped thinking about it since...
this feels like the TRUE ending to BioShock. it feels like Elizabeth gave jack the chance she never had. and that some of us chose to save them, that was the dent, the fact that it wasn't all just a wheel of violence and blood, but chance and choice. and it feels like she gave that to jack and everyone else behind those doors. this video opened my eyes, an amazing feat of work and I hope this video explains and shows just how much long time fans have missed or don't fully understand. amazing video, loved the work.
I remember seeing this back 6 years ago when it first came out. It gave me goosebumps then and it still gives me goosebumps now. Amazing work as always!
I like how they slowly get louder and more forceful throughout the video (similarly to how they act in the games). I think writing either of them off as insane would be a cheap way of discrediting whatever small amount of merit their ideologies hold, but it's obvious that both are at least a little unhinged. I suppose they have to be, to do the terrible things they both do as the games progress, and the terrible things they did before the games even started.
Amazing video, man! It Gave me chills, the combination of the music and Timing of the dialogue (The voice actors for these games are terrific) :-D anyhow you get thumbs up!
Well, I do plan on pitching the idea to them, so no, not really. And even if they don't bite, I still intend on at least writing/planning the whole thing out on paper.

And believe me, I was one to say, "BioShock in the future? Just play System Shock," in the past. That is, until more than a few light bulbs went off in my head. In short, the story literally couldn't take place during any other "time."
There needs to be more tributes like this that treat a game like a movie trailer instead of let's play rock music to the most badass parts of the game.
I'm an old time Ken Levine/Irrational Games fan...from the very beginning with System Shock through to Burial at Sea - I'd like to say I've walked the walk with his style of story telling/gameplay and have the right to comment from a position of experience on the works of others who offer 'tribute' - and THIS tribute earns my highest praise. You've made something wonderful from something wonderful that captures the essence of the journey we've all taken. I applaud very loudly...Cohen would be proud.
