I got a reply from Dunlop! They are telling me it is definitely he seam on the rubber but is only a cosmetic issue and not a safety concern. They are honouring their basic tire warranty, so I will probably be getting a refund or credit of some sort from the dealer. The dealer purchased the tire from Parts Canada, a major distributor who initially refused the warranty.
I know that road well. Southwest Alberta is a special place to ride - incredible scenery in every direction. The gravel and wind are just part of experience. Sometimes the gusts feel like they come from every direction at the same time. I feel really fortunate to live here.
Thanks! The bugs were the worst, but sudsing it up and letting the water soak in before scrubbing loosened everything up and made the job easier. The brush gets into all the nooks and crannies as well…
She was like, bro if you don’t give me my space to do my line, ima draw ✍️ your ex wife 😅(all jokes aside I wish I can do calligraphy so nice, her hand must be so stable.)
hit two deer within a week and stopped riding for a decade. finally decided to try again and within 3k miles was down again from deer. never again. I'll walk
My partner Giselle has been known to fall asleep on the back! We try to break the ride up with stops every hour or so or just pull off to see something interesting. On this particular run, we had reservations at a lunch spot, so time was limited. We did stop halfway for group pictures in Kaslo.
Hey that was a really close call with the deer! I am glad that you are all ok! Would it be possible to use that clip in one of my short videos to highlight how fast a deer can jump onto the road? Ty !
Nope. If we had pulled over, we would have lost control in the heavy sidewinds and probably dumped our bikes and gotten soaked! As it was, it only lasted a few minutes as we passed through it. Stopping would only have prolonged it as we caught the front edge. In the video you can see a bunch of construction vehicles with their flashing lights. I bet they had to sit there for 15-20 minutes as the storm passed over them.
Sure! Thanks for viewing it. I will be adding two more videos from that ride shortly - hwy 5A from Princeton to Aspen Grove and Hwy 8 from Merritt to Spences Bridge. I’m heading out for a 10 day ride down to Colorado shortly, if I have time, I will upload some shorts from it while on the road.
As mentioned at the end of the video, here is a link where you can find out more about our riding group. We are charter members of the Eagle Wings Motorcycle Association (EWMA). Here is the link to our chapter: chapterbca.org
