Dude you're hilarious, have my sub. For the record I'm on the fence with the game but I've been watching a lot of videos today in anticipation of probably trying it out this weekend when I get some free time. You're approach is solid and earned my sub.
this game kills class fantasy. tf is a greatsword dagger user? i just want to use a staff i dont want to be forced to use daggers. I just want to use a sword and shield i dont want to be force to take a dorky wand. Probably not the game for me. silly class system imo.
I'm tempted to do Dagger/Wand. I either enjoy being a helpful support who helps my allies have a good time (my main preference is support in all games like this), or a thieving rogue that uses stealth and high damage (I really enjoy stealth based games, and have played similar playstyles in multiplayer games) Not sure how much that would clash yet. My game's still downloading, but I'm excited to try this out
I'm looking at longbow-staff or longbow-great sword. I'm leaning to LB-GS because often things keep flying in on you and you can't maintain distance so I would like a melee weapon to deal with the situation when that happens.
"dagger" , "very mobile" , "dashing around enemies" first of all, dagger doesn't have a "dash" (the sword dance is repeated blinks) actives : 1. "shadow strike/shadow escape" > 10ish sec cooldown yes it's a 12m range teleport directly to your target which grants you great sticking power and a small window of escape with the return perk but mobile to me means freedom of movement, which this hardly qualifies for in my case~ 2. ??? (dont you dare include the petty 3m range "sword dance") the stealth active doesn't really give mobility in itself either~ passives : 5% movement speed increase from weapon mastery "assassin's step" on kill = 37% movement speed increase at level 15 passive (i'll grant you that the on kill passive does merit a good deal of speed) though you could just morph if you wanted passive movement speed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ from most to least mobile : greatsword - crossbow - staff - dagger - sword - longbow(over sword if you can parry all day) - wand
hmmm....i like to play hybrid magic+melee or if not possible pure magic classes in rpg games. GS looks interesting not sure what would be best combination for this. I guess i will try staff + wand first
@@ketsandhisgames For example: Shaman/Paladin from WOW, Magus from Pathfinder and so on. Shield + Wand is closer to the Paladin from the looks of it but i am not sure if i want to be tank/healer in this game
@@lorgren4002 SnS/Wand is definitely closest to the Paladin. For Shaman, I'd say the Wand/Staff is closest to it. The Magus is a bit tougher. The closest seems like GS/Staff, which can definitely be fun but it can also be a bit challenging to use.
@@SynnJynn You can but it's not that great because there's a good amount of chanelling involved. Kiting with Staff works more like stand still and attack -> move -> stand still and attack -> move rather than moving and attacking at the same time.
I was on the right track of this. I didn't know about the fireball barrage so I focused on the lightning. I can easily go back and get those skills up to blue at least. I'm fixing to hit level 50 and need to get better gear for sure. I am loving the build I have so far thou. it has worked well for me but I do like how you can be away from your opponent and deal lots of damage. I have a good rotation right now with my setup. Thanks for this guide though, I saved this video so I can get more in depth with it.
finally one video , that explain the gameplay without "forcing" player to follow build , tiers list , or that crappy , you need to pick this for pvp , pve , .. thanks its become rare to see contents creators when it come to guilde , to explain the most important : play and pick as you want , n'joy the game . build ,meta can easaly breaks because : - guild will make new strategy game plan ( pve , pvp ) - dev make fix / balance update , new contents
For anybody starting the game tommorow keep in mind that it may seem like you can just swap your weapon combo at any time but you really can’t so make sure you choose something you like
There's really no such thing as a primary or secondary weapon. Any of the combinations that uses Dagger as a "secondary" pretty much works just as well with Dagger as a "primary"! Staff/Dagger = Dagger/Staff, etc.
I want to solo and run dungeons but I'm not sure if archer\wand will be allowed in parties. Have no played game yet. So not compromising I'm a bowman and healer that is what I want. Just hoping I'm allowed in parties.
I literally only want to do PVE and Solo or maybe hook up with a couple of friends. I don't want to mess with the guild or anything like that I've been there and done that.
Me aswell, il try the free version and if it pushes heavy into grouped activities il see myself out. Played too many games like that which forget that portion of the player base that would appreciate a solo dungeon or 2 at end game. By all means have the big grouped dungeons but would a few solo dungeons really be that difficult to create?
@@sirbobernik it’s both. Pve and pvp. They should learn from other ppls mistakes and cater to both otherwise mass exodus when ppl figure out the game is 1 dimensional. If it’s group play or bust il be gone. Not asking for any sympathy etc but just a heads up to the devs if there is not small group or solo activities il be out.
I really want to play SnS + Wand, but, after looking the meta and everything, SnS + GS would should give me a nicer time finding a guild and groups, is fine, those 3 weapons are really appealing to me, but SnS + Wand just looks amazing
@@GpkmBJ You shouldn't have too much toruble finding guilds with SnS+Wand since it's the best tank build there is. SnS+GS is fun too though and it'll definitely be better if you're solo grinding. You can always build all three of SnS, Wand and GS and swap between them when you need to too!
@@ketsandhisgames wouldn't the stats of the SnS + GS and SnS + Wand clash to each other?, like, for what I seen, you have to build your gear and stats following your weapon combination, and some people just find a second set of gear to use another weapon, the game looks nice and complex, i just want to tank man
@@GpkmBJ To have the maximum efficiency, yeah, you'll have to have a few different pieces of armor. Buuut, that's only if you really care about maximum efficiency. I'd much rather just make a set that works well enough and play what I find fun! Don't let that discourage you though, nothing wrong with wanting to have the best stats, though yeah, you'll have to make two sets for the two combinations then.
so is the passive skills you choose always active or do you have to switch weapons to keep dem active? I apologize if you explained that already i am writing this as i listen to video
The passives for each weapon are always active as long as you have the weapon equipped, so you get the passives you select from both at all times! And never apologize for asking, even if I've explained it in the video - that's what comments are for and I'm happy to help. :))
The passive _SKILLS_ are always active; the mastery effects that you select once you get to 50 and start getting weapon mastery levels, are only active while using that particular weapon, including when you auto-switch weapons for attacks with your backup weapon, it will switch to the backup weapon's mastery for the length of that attack.
Any information on Staff + Sword/shield or Staff + Xbow? I never go magic user so I want to try either a more durable caster than can survive being caught or a quick agile caster
Staff + SnS isn't that great imo, just because it clashes in purpose a lot. SnS focuses on being in the middle of fights and taking hits, while Staff is the literal opposite. Staff + XBow is actually a great combo for very mobile DPS! There aren't a lot of clashes here which makes it work. :)
@@ketsandhisgames nice, I was watching some greatsword/staff gameplay too and that looks pretty fun and hard hitting as well. May still do xbow/staff though
