I follow a photographer who would fall under your art photography category. He works with multi formats, all the way up to 14x17. He prints Alt processes, such as carbon transfer, tri-colour gum, salt, kallitype… I’ve learned a lot from his. He is also a photography teacher. His youtube channel is analogue andy.
Great video, could be a mini series if you keep repeating this format with new names suggested by your audience! Sean Tucker is amazing, I learn a lot from Ted at the Art of Photography too. I see many other familiar and helpful names in the comments here.
Jamie Windsor & James Popsys are 2 of my favourite photographers to watch I also love Sophia Carey’s portrait photography videos but also her photography as a business type videos too
Some fine channels mentioned I’m subbed to all. I shoot and enjoy all manner of photography so watch a wide variety I have no clear favourite creators although a nick carver video always entertains me for his almost obsessive pursuit of perfection. For gear reviews and his awesome model portraits I enjoy Matt Osbourne for street work I enjoy Paulie B walkie talkie episodes always very entertaining. a good kiwi to watch is Paul c smith. The late great alyn Wallace was always a must watch sadly gone far too soon RIP Alyn. I watch so many others it’s hard to keep a track. Some awesome inspiration and entertainment on RU-vid far far better that all the canned manufactured crap on tv imho 😂
Hello, Pavel. How’s it going? Great video. I follow all the photographers mentioned in it. I’d recommend Gary Gough, who shoots landscapes, fine art photography and sometimes street. Craig Roberts is another fantastic landscape and fine photographer. Recently I’ve come across a fellow named Eduardo Ortiz, who does streets. He’s a master of layers.
This was the video i needed! Ive been trying to find/remember one youtube channel for ages and through this video i found it! thanks loads. The channel in question is Jamie Windsor. One of the best channels for someone completely new and who i consider to be one of the most overlooked as he made a huge impact on me starting out was "Mike Browne"
Thank you for your comment, I'm so glad you found Jamie again with my help! Don't forget to subscribe and click the bell this time 😊 And I promise to release a sequel to my humble parade of the best photo masters on youtube after a certain time. Maybe it will be a few episodes, so it makes sense to subscribe to my channel too, probably 😁
Great list indeed. I would add a few in certain categories. For B&W I would recommend AOWS. His vision is quite interesting and so is his composition. For street photo and composition I also like Adrien Sanguinetti. Kinda under the radar account if you ask me. Load of informative details in his videos. There are many others that are worth mentioning like Teo Crawford or Gary Gough or Mark McGee.
Wow! This blew me away…one photographer generously recommending other RU-vid photographers to watch. I agreed with your selections and of course the list can’t be infinite but I really like the work of landscape photographers Henry Turner, Mark Denney and Gary Gough. Street photography brings me to Frederik Trovatten and Samuel Streetlife. Great video.
Thank you for your excellent list of exciting and interesting photographers with RU-vid channels. It's great seeing the growing list of photographers named in the comments.
I don't need muscle, I see just fine, however you want to learn more? Ok for speedlights you watch Syl Arena "Lighting Persona" and also the Bob Davis videos. For basics you watch Chris Bray (2hr Free Course) for more in depth on the craft of photography you goto "Photography Online" For dynamic lighting you watch JC Carey. For old school tips you watch Greg Carrick. You want to do street, you watch Frederik Trovatten, he covers all the styles of many famous photographers, he heavily edits in cases but he says why and I will forgive him that. As for me I am a photographer not a re-toucher. There is a place for digital manipulation and I appreciate all the work of the artistic creators, but it can get to a point where the computer is doing more than the camera did. My ionstructor said this to the pros in the last class "If you spending that much time fixing things in POST your not making any money, you could do better at McDonalds" You want to see the looks on their faces, we all edit some, but he teaches photography not "Lightroom Later". To each his own and my standards to consider someone a "Master" depend on what I see. Photo Journalist Alex Majoli, Robert Frank etc, now there are some masters. Nuff said, be well and advance your craft skills my friend.
I respect your point of view even though I don't completely agree with it. It seems to me that there is more than one version of the "proper photography process". In this video, I merely shared the channels that have helped my growth, personally. Thanks for your comment, I think that as long as there are people in the world with this kind of passion, humanity is not doomed!
I would highly recommend T. Hopper's channel. She picks a photographer or film maker to feature and takes a deep dive into their work to see what we can learn from it. Also highly recommended is Richard Tatti's channel, Nightscape Images. His specialty is milky way photography but his passion for teaching how he plans, takes and processes his images is very engaging. His images are true works of art.
In my opinion the great addition is The Photographic Eye channel by Alex Kilbee. He has kinda different approach focusing on creativity, vision and ideas that can make you a better photographer.
Simon Baxter is a good friend of Thomas Heaton and an exceptional woodland photographer. Also Gary Gough is a great landscape photographer. Another exceptional nature photographer is Morton Hilmer, out of Denmark. His training and outdoor survival skills allow him to capture pictures most others would never be able to get.
😂 many of the people that you recommended i have found but a few are new to me, one thing I have to say i have only came across a small amount of people on u tube that are not worth following, one woman that I can reccomend that you did not mention is Kim Grant.
