I remember when these first came out in the early 90's very good machine. I liked cutting using the original old style machine but this was a great alternative.
Went to homedepot and this machine wouldn’t scan my key and the associate saying nothing but issues with this machine. Ended up telling me to go someplace else ???
This only tells how to adjust left and right. I would think forward/backward is more of an issue and how do we do that? I ASSUME that is the allen key on the right of the tracer and the knob benind the tracer is used to adjust. Also, can I just use a key to adjust it? One service bar is $28 and i work for an Ace and they suck, and waiting for anyone to adjust the machine would take forever. I used to use an American Padlock on a promatic100 to calibrate it. Wondering if I can do the same for this machine.
Thanks looks like my Ilco 040 automatic, love these machines :) I have one left over from my post office / retail store 15 years ago. Light usage now, maybe a few keys here and there for my rentals.
Would these construction lags be appropriate or the best choice to mount a retractable extension cord reel on the wall or ceiling of a home garage? If so, what length is recommended? The reel weighs about 20 lbs and the holes on the mounting bracket are a little bigger than 5/16. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

The KeyHero customer service representatives are super NOT helpful. They don't have answers at their fingertips and aren't nice either. Considering the type of people (frustrated locked-out, stressed customers). You, as the customer and owner of the key cannot even delete it yourself. You have to go through multiple attempts with rude CSRs before your key is deleted from the system. You don't have the control over your own key.
MISLEADING... 044 does not have Auto switch to move the console on its own - Title of this video is 044 Where as the video is of 040 !!! I purchased the wrong model
This video IS the 044, the 040 is the full automatic version. The 044 has the lever on the left side of the machine to move the carriage, which is plainly visible in parts of the video.
This video is titled incorrectly….for five years. This is the 040 automatic cutter. The 044 is the semi which holds the key up to cuter but you push the key through with a lever system. Currently 1375 usd for full auto model 040. I went with the 44 semi with the lever and spring for 1250 usd. Much more control then just a push bar.
no Home Depot employees knew how to do this at TWO different stores. Totally useless. The machine doesn't seem to be sending out a signal. Are these machines at the store Wifi or what?
Not a very good video. Irritating music and no one explaining each part step by step, such as the type of wall needed or how one piece attaches to the other.
Calibrating the tracer with the micro dial available is much easier than those traditional ones that are "free style", it just requires more patience to manage. Beautiful machine and a great tutorial.
1275 usd cheaper if you buy multiple. They also have a mobile version for van/ job site use but this guy only weighs 30lbs is borderline portable as is
