I am being funny I did not ask you first the geologist that say the earth is 1000 million years old or the ones that say billions and billions years old
you have ben listing to geologist I live near Colton there is no place higher from here to hudson bay--if you have 30 dollars get fist full of gold for Christmas Christ Ralph want you to fine a fist full of gold
The funny thing is new York has to be covered in gold left by the glaciers from up north where there's tons of gold. I live on long island and find fine flower gold on the beaches.
Would you be interested in selling some of that New York gold just subscribed to your channel see that you haven't made a video in a year though hope I encourage you to get out there cuz I'll definitely buy some of that gold off you if you sell any of it ✌️⛏️🔘
Greed of the state of NY started about 250 years ago, there are laws against finding it LOL they say if you find any inside the state of NY says its theirs! they own it, you have to turn it over to them. you cant keep or sell any gold found in this state, so normally no one will even tell you they are panning here .....
well you've still found more gold in WNY than i ever have yet. lol. I might be nearing a gram soon, if this year pans out good. let me know if yah ever want to do a hike. I'm down to only one buddy that will sometimes join me.
I have a spot. I find about an oz every several months. It’s usually small stuff. But I did find a 2 gram piece in 2017. My land and as far as I’m concerned, anything I find in the creek running through my property will be mine! And thing in the ground on MY land is mine. Screw cuomo and the stupid Ny law. I’ll go to jail before I turn over anything on MY land that I pay taxes on.
Any gold discovered in NY state is property of NY state and can not be kept legally. Even claim holders and landowners are not entitled to keep any precious metals that they find, if you find a nugget under your front porch, it doesn’t belong to you.
I'm between Rochester and Buffalo, so LOTS of creeks to explore. I even have a pan from an Arizona friend. Might have to give this a shot if I get tired of metal detecting. Thanks for the vid.
hey so am I, how have ya made out with the western NY exploration...im thinking about getting into this prospecting thing (my wife and my sister tell me I need a hobby) I've got access to a bunch of shale bottom creeks with cracks and crevices for days around my county and a few in the southern tier area.
Good to see you'll be getting out. The older gentleman in the video his name is Alan had a stroke three years ago and hasn't been able to go anymore. Myself I'll be 65 in March and still doing some prospecting .Will be getting out early spring and should make another video.
I actually know where there is gold in western NYS, some really old guy told us and he had kept it secret for most of his life. I went there to check it out and found flakes while panning but it was only trace amount (and that’s only because I don’t know how to pan properly). The problem is I don’t know what I’m doing. The old guy says he could do a half ounce a week back in the day. I own his sluice and gear but I don’t know how to use it or what geology to look for, I just have that location to myself.
