Hey man, fellow LI fisherman just had some questions about the force trolling motor. What size motor amd shaft length did you end up getting. Your boat looks similar in size to my 1995 proline 17 so was womdering if i could get some feedback on how much your boat weighs and how the trolling motor handles the fast currents and any issues with saltwater?
I’m pretty sure it was 29 degrees and the wind was coming from the north that’s the north side it was freaking cold 🥶 and my first time on that suspended scaffold
Softies..in Hong long 34ď had a leak. New building. repair peoples went out window no harness.. built a bamboo support structure.. one guy sat on ledge admiring my 34 floor view at top of old peak road... yea that's balls.. you harnessed woosies
Wow. Being safe at work makes you a woosie now lol Are you going to pay their bills if they get hurt? They’re job isn’t going to pay for shit. They’ll hand them the OSHA book while in the hospital and be like 🤷♀️ you’re supposed to wear a harness. Good luck with the back and leg stuff. Byeeeeeeee.
wow came across your post, what hobie kayak brand are you using ? and which fish finder brand also. I do not understand the screen you guys see what do they mean ?
My Arsenal has grown drastically since then lol I was doing a lot of surf casting then and hoped on a buddy’s boat when I could do the van stall was kinda all I had
@@catchingmoefish yup amazing surf reel but a bitch to get line in with at any kind of speed. The VR50 is much better in comparison but the VSX is still my go-to surf reel. Vr50 off jetties and for light tackle
Hey man , any issues with that Garmin in the salt ? Just got one delivered today and installing on Sat.. Just checking to see if she is still going strong ..
I know exactly where you are...one of my go to spots all winter and spring. I caught a huge carp back there also last spring - and yes, my banana hobie outback too! lol thats great
Do you know of any local docks/marinas nearby where one can store a kayak throughout the fishing season? I was hoping to find somewhere in one of the two canals between the two bridges to the west of where you're fishing in the video.
@@catchingmoefish I found a 10 foot jon boat but I'm not if I wanna build a deck it's kind of narrow. I mostly fish freshwater but it's tough on long island
@@OneAndOnlyChi yeah it is tough here but there are places to go to catch all year round and with the 10 footer if you make everything out of aluminum it may work you never know till you try I have a 12 foot John boat for sale if you or anyone else are interested But if you do decide to build on the 10 good luck and have a blast with it 🤟
@@catchingmoefish Makes sense regarding PA. I haven’t seen this in Nassau County. Sometimes I find a real bargain in Green Acres. Gulp is much cheaper there.
@@catchingmoefish Met a friend of yours this Summer - Craig. We were fishing from shore in LB and talking about you drone videos (nice). He’s a gentleman.
@@Gypsyboy932 hahahah that’s really fun he actually told me about this that’s awesome thanks for watching I plan on continuing to post as much as I can I really enjoy fishing videoing it all and putting edits together I appreciate the comments ! 🙌
I think you’re a wise man to keep that old Force outboard running while you’re out in the shipping lanes. Love the rumble of those old Force outboards. Nice video. Thanks for posting. Subbed
Thanks ! Lmao yeah I have had no trouble with this motor it is a tank absolutely love it I have gone far off with it and it always does a great job wait till you see the winter set up for the river holdover fish 😉
Spot lock is game changer absolutely love it ! I’m a big fan of jigging I’ve been trying a lot of different shapes weights and sizes this jig definitely produces catch them up thanks for the comment
What gram jig was that? It looks like 20 or 40gram. I'm surprised it was holding the current. I saw you out there and was going to say what's up but you were fishing and i didn't want to mess up your flow.
Hey man that was a 1.5 ounce jig I got as a gift and it worked so well I changed the treble hook to an inline gomakatsu size 2/0 I appreciate the comment next time pull up and drop a jig
Hey thanks it’s some what of a skiff with a v haul it’s perfect I take it offshore as-well on the nice days more than welcome to come along and go for a few
