I am convinced that Marcus is the love child between Lady Danbury and Lord Ledger, making him Violet's 1/2 brother!! I think he is supposed to be a love interest and it will force Lady Danbury to come clean about the affair!
Oh my goodness! I believe Colin is in his wild player phase. The reason why he is so ‘sturdy’ is bc traveling the world sewing his oats is great calisthenics! Ha! My hope is that the scenes with him as a player are not so heated/spicy that his scenes with Penelope seem cool/tame in comparison. Because Colin gives more hungry eyes for the glove girl, than the deer in headlights dumb looks he gives Penelope in the trailer.
I could totally see that adding to his sturdiness ahaha I feel like (or am hoping) that the hand kissing he'll be doing is fleeting because Pen is going to knock him on his ass right away and that will occupy his mind instead. Thanks for watching and discussing!
Yes, makes perfect sense! I'm thinking this is the only trailer we'll get...I'd be surprised if we get one for Part 2 but we shall see what Netflix has up their sleeve!
love your reaction to the trailer - l totally agree with what you said about eloise even though l love her character she doesn’t really pay attention to penelope lm hoping this season she will realise this and it may open her eyes a bit. think this season is going to be the best yet, so excited for may 16th this couple is my fav 😊
Thanks for being here! I love Eloise so much and I love Pen so much too, they're both so complicated and I think that is what makes their dynamic so interesting - they're both right and wrong within this conflict. I think this will be the best yet too, can't wait!
I'm probably wrong, but I have a feeling Francesca may have already met her first husband during her time away from the family. That could be why she seems sad and pining in so many of her scenes. She may be missing him, or maybe she thinks he doesn't return her feelings and she'll find out this season that he does. Just idle speculation on my part. Comparing the trailer to the big batch of stills they just released (the captions listed the episodes they were from), this trailer has scenes from the first four episodes. Also, I wonder what Eloise will think/do if her new buddy Cressida does the same thing Cressida did in the book, hmm? lol I can't wait for May 16!
fran *has* been off-screen in scotland for most of the seasons so far! maybe jon will make a surprise appearance ala Philip and sweep her off her feet last episode?
I've had the same thought about Fran already knowing her first husband as well, I'm so interested to see what her storyline is like. OMG I've been thinking about it and I can see Cressida doing that thing she does in the book bringing El and Pen back together in a way, we shall see!!
the unlikely friend to Eloise might be Philip Crane... which I don't want to happen! i hope they take Eloise's story on a different path than from the books because Philip Crane was not it i can't even

I love this video <3 thank you for sharing. What I REALLY want to see this season, besides ALL the Polin content, is Colin standing up for Pen when speaking to Portia. I love the line “I suggest you begin treating my future wife with a bit more respect.”
I was hooked from the start of the beginning of this video watching that teacup precariously close to spilling.. 👀 But FINALLY! Someone else who recognizes just how far S2 deviates from the Viscount (book)! I truly loved both too, but there were some major changes I was shocked (shooketh?) to see. Colin and Penelope's book is actually my fave and with the announcement of the end of the strike I am hoping more news finally starts coming out. I have two major hopes for the season: #1 That the romance is on level 11 (the pining!) and the full on celebration of of seeing a curvier woman having the spotlight and win the "classically handsome" leading man. I truly feel like this is the first time we are seeing something so mainstream put that front and center. #2 That we see the best friendship in the books (imho) between Penelope and Lady Danbury. I NEED it.
did you notice that at the very end of season 1, he breaks her heart by leaving and then in season 2, he breaks her heart by denouncing her in front of his friends. This man is CONSTANTLY hurting her. I really hope she gets over this "fantasy" of him and sees him as the man that he is. And I hope he pines for her the way she did for him...and really FALL HARD for her.
The thing is that I really don’t think that Colin meant to hurt Penelope. I don’t think either time when he hurt her was deliberate, but it shows (at least to me) how completely oblivious Colin is. What he said to his friends about how he would “never dream of courting Pen”- yes, it was awful.. however, there could’ve been so much more to that conversation that she DIDN’T hear. So much more that was said.
I’m really surprised that Junie B. Jones was banned. That series was read to us by my first grade teacher. (It was also one of my favorites, I thought it was so funny.)
I kinda think you have to be of two camps when it comes to what Penelope did: on the one hand, some people consider it a backstabbing moment. However, there are those of us who know and understand that Penelope actually saved her best friend’s ass even if her best friend doesn’t know it.
Exactly, like how many times did Pen warn Eloise to stay away from Theo? In that era, class was very important. Marrying below your station was scandalous! Also Eloise meeting Theo without a chaperone was also highly scandalous!! Pen kept warning her and the only way to save her ass was to do what she did!!!
All the vault songs were produced by Jack and Aaron. I think these vault songs are the best so far. Also, castles crumbling is more like nothing new in the message. That part in I can see you is more like you belong with me.
I truly believe that the last picture you showed is the night of their engagement party. After they leave the party in Colin's room. I know the show won't be like the the book but somehow calling still has to find out and I think this is going to lead to the mirror scene.
I think the carriage scene will still be the reveal, I think the writing jealousy plot will go to Eloise but he’s still gonna be worried about her being whistle down but I do think that picture is the before the mirror scene at the engagement party, you’re right

I don't know if it helps you figure something out but Nicola said in an interview that during a scene they were filming they BROKE 😉 a piece of furniture. I believe it's the scene where Pen has the longing eyes 😊
The third photo is not cut off. It's the edge of the stall's roof? (idk what to call it). They are outside. Same location when Pen and Eloise were walking on the streets. Her hair in that photo looks the same as the previous season. Maybe that's the time she starts trying new clothes and Colin will offer some help with suitors.
Pen's action in the show are well justified at least in my opinion. The only thing is nobody really listens to her character. Everybody only listens to Lady Whistledown. It's not like she never gives them any warning. It's sad that she gets blamed when she's literally the one trying to save everyone's asses. lol
@@RealVincent1989 Totally Justified, when the alternate option is to watch your best friend be punished by the Queen and your Found Family stripped off all the Titles and Wealth by the Queen, turning them into destitute outcasts. ...... Not to forget the fact that the Columns were one of the major reasons for the Leads finding each other, Colin narrowly escaping from Marina, Madam Delacroix getting her business back together. Show Eloise is caring to some extent ; but only as long as Pen stayed under her shadows. Her new found acquaintance with the Bully Cressida Cowper is proof of Her petty nature. Pen is certainly Not without flaws, but atleast She works on them and is aware of Her shortcomings. Show Eloise has stooped down to an immature Person, who is all talk and No Action. As for Lady Whistledown's Columns, they're popular only because the Ton read them willingly and circulated it. The Ton and its gossips existed way before Whistledown. Penelope, as a living member of the Ton, merely showed the Ton a Mirror - She did Not force the Ton to read Her Column, they themselves did. Atleast the Column kept the Ton in line to some extent.
@@thecozyteaplace there are 50 novels. She started at 17 years old with Black Moth, writing a novel for her brother recuperating from a long-term illness and wrote an unfinished novel at 71! I have collected them all but was so sad to finish the last one. The end always comes too soon, I get so invested in the world, the characters and the plots. You may know where it is going but it is always a mystery how it will unfold!
I love the books and love the show as well. The third book is my favorite, so I cannot wait for this season!!!!! Also, I agree with you on most of the things that bother you about the show. But, I will say Nicola Coughlin was the absolute perfect choice to play Penelope. Love her! She's an amazing actress! I cannot wait to see how they handle things with Pen and Eloise. I have a feeling that it might not be resolved this season though.

Here me out! I think the first episode will be Francesca getting married. They have to move these stories along. The first pic of Colin is him coming back from travels and seeing how hawt Pen is. Oh, and when he does see her and calls her 'Pen', I want her response to be 'Mr. Bridgerton'. I think the 'friend' for Eloise will be Sir Phillip Crane (yuck) but of course in letters. I have so much more thoughts but not enough space to write. Lol. P.S. first time on your channel. You're fabulous!!

I actually like Penelope in the show. In the books she was very likable and sweet but, I feel like that's semi-unreasonable. She can be vindictive and careless and she feels slighted by society. I liked the book but, I was always a little bothered by what Colin says about her to his brother. I think the show did it differently (he was saying stuff to his friends kind of like Anthony was in the beginning of season 2 when Kate overheard him). I just kind of want her to have more of a reaction.
