I am a newbie gardener in zone 5. I love hydrangea and have 15 different kinds of hydrangeas in my garden. They are still young, but getting lovelier every year! Of course, I love all sorts of perennials and annuals. I would like to share with you how my plants are doing throughout the growing season :)
Sorry for the late response! I don't stake them. My Annabelles are pretty floppy especially after heavy rain. My Incrediball is sturdier than Annabelles for sure.
I commented too soon I guess milk jugs are better or bigger plastic things and not the bottles but hey..thanks for the insight and the ole college try! May you and yours be blessed and Happy planting!
Thank you :) I bought it from hayneedle www.hayneedle.com/product/gardmanwestminster75ftmetalarcharbor.cfm Unfortunately it seems out of stock. But this one looks similar www.ebay.com/itm/284391590799
What a lovely lot of flowers. Also I really enjoyed just the natural sounds of wind in the trees and birdsong, rather than music! Thankyou for sharing x
My thought of some of the perennials like columbine and purple coneflowers -- need stratification and need to be started early - I had started mine on 2/25 -& they were small but I did get some seedlings that I kept in the containers and grew them up to the next size
In many of your water bottles it looks like you had 100% germination. I'm going to test the fates and do this in early March, Zone 5 (Montana), but using donated gallon milk/juice jugs. Thanks for sharing your results.
I just reviewed the "failures" and I noticed something. Most of those did well for me started in March. They may be your tender flowers.Though many of those I have not tried. And your water bottles were the perfect size for experimenting- IMO.
I'm in Zone 5 also. Are these all started in Feb? Or some also in March? My attempt looked nothing at all like yours. I would so love to get this right.
Namaste. Please specify how many types of creeper is shown in the video??? One-Clematis, Two- Black eye Susan Vine (yellow flower). What is the creeper with green colour fruits at 1.13-1.15 minutes. Its leaves are amazing. Plz reply. Thanks
(Sorry for the slow response). I think most of the panicle hydrangeas eventually fade to pink or other color. Limelight hydrangeas and Late Panicle hydrangeas are my favorite because they fade to light pink only late fall. Hope that helps :)
I’d like to hear you talking too because I feel for sure, with such a beautiful garden it will be interesting but I have to say I really enjoy the slow relaxing walk, with just the plant names
Thank you :) the white flower at 1:45 is Feverfew (a kind of herb), and I think you meant the green & pink at 5:40~50, which is Spirea. Hope this helps.
You had me at hydrangea! You have a beautiful & lovely garden, enjoyed very much, also nicotiana & alysuum are one of my fav's, Very Nice!!! Keep up the good work 😊🐞🐞🐞
They were from Lowe's (Limelight $99) and Menard's (Phantom $39) as tree form four years ago (actually three years ago since this video was shot last year)
I got one at Lowes today also for same price. I was going to put it on an arbor that is smooth but read that it should be put on a rough surface because it has tendrils that like to grab on so I'm going to put it on the one stone front of my house. I'm in Tennessee so I have to deal with a lot of rocks everytime I plant something. 😠
Please speak during your videos. I truly believe it will help you get more followers. People learn more when someone is speaking about the subject at hand. I love hydrangeas and I’m a beginner gardener and get much more education when people speak and explain things in their video.
@@Lourdes-Ambrosio I was about to upload a new video about my seedlings and saw your reply. I tried recording me speaking, and repeated recording and deleting many times, and ended up just inserting subtitles (honestly I didn't really like my voice :( ) I tried to explain via subtitles as much as possible, though. Hope you understand :)
