My throttle just keeps spinning non stop. I opened up the throttle and the plastic piece that holds the wire together is stripped. So it isn’t holding the wire in place in order to rev it. I have a 2011 Johnny pag, idk anything about bikes. Any suggestions?
The plastic piece? It's been 8 years, but I think I just leaned the bike over after taking the bar end off. The barends are no joke to take off the first time you remove them.

Stuck between a daytona 675r and an 899 panigale, getting mixed opinions and cant decide which is a better choice. I previously had my eye on the daytona but people have said the ducati 899 is less extreme riding position and more comfortable for street use, I love the daytonas sound especially the wailing scream when you rev it up, but also the low V8 muscle sound of the ducati 899 has been growing on me... I certainly love the ducati looks much more than the daytona, and it feels a bit more comfortable I think. Engine sound is important to me and I'm not sure if I like the 899 factory exhaust having the clicky clack strange exhaust sounds. Can anyone comment on what would be a better purchase or any experience with these bikes?
I've never owned the Daytona, but fit and finish Ducati takes it all day long. So clean and well built. Unfortunately, I sold the 899 to buy a house, but I loved it so much that I would be open to buying another one. Such an incredible and beautiful machine. But I love all motorcycles so I'm sure I'd enjoy the Daytona, as well. If price isn't really an issue, I'd go with the Panigale. Man I loved that bike.
Hi Ashby, sorry I don't have a video on that and no longer have the bike :( . I did install the Ducati Performance magnesium cover with the Ducabike clear clutch cover, but didn't get any footage. If you have an 899, you do have to remove the fairing, tank (I think- can't remember for sure), electrical box/ harness, rear sets, lower or remove the exhaust just to get to the bottom screw. There is a step-by-step guide on panigale899.org on how to do it. I used that. Make sure you have the correct ThreeBond gasket maker, 1207B (black) to seal the case. Do not use 1215 (gray). That one comes up in a simple Google search for Ducati Three Bond. I used that first and it started weeping oil after a day or two. Had to redo the whole thing with 1207B. Worked like a charm.
Questo video sarebbe da far vedere a tutti quelli che dicono che Marc è uno stronzo e che si comporta male.... io credo che stare in quella tuta per un bel po’ di tempo a fare autografi e a fare foto sia una cosa da pochi...❤️
Thank you for the Video! Same thing happened to me when changing out my bar ends to Rizomas. I took my housing apart drilled a small hole about 1/8" deep and then cut a small allen wrench and super glued it to the housing using Gorilla Gel. Throttle doesn't spin any more!

Be sure to read the notes in the video description section marked "UPDATE!!" to make sure it never breaks again. Once I added the metal pin/post it never broke again.
That was the original plan, but the truck bed is too short. Would have had to of left the tailgate open. Works out well anyway since we travel with luggage in the covered bed.
Glad it helped! I've definitely benefited greatly from other people's RU-vid videos. I mentioned it in the video, but make sure you watch and follow Dave Moss Tuning's direction on reinstalling the front wheel (link in description). There's a part where he aligns the front wheel by spinning it and using the hand brake that works really well.
Could the grills have been placed in separate-internal to the large boxes, while at the same time taping fast, heavy cardboard pieces in front of the exposed woofers and tweeters? Would this have been a little better assurance against damage to those grills and offer a bit more protection for the individual speakers within each cabinet? Just thinkin'...
Don Oz hello! No, me and another person loaded and unloaded the bike. One person may be able to do it, but I think the manufacturer also recommends two people.
