I just bought one of these (2023 model) and there are so many things with it I need fixed but how do I find out if it's supposed to be/look just like this? It was sitting on a dealers lot for well over a year
I would recommend calling the dealership that services Hideouts and make an appointment to go over your concerns with a service representative. You could also try to track down images of the same year and models online and compare the images to your trailer.
If you call us and ask for our parts department they can help you get the correct door and if needed I believe they can drop ship it to you. Or you can contact a local RV dealership and they can help you out. Our number is 801-262-2921
I like the lower roof line but it doesnt have a toilet or shower. The Aliner Ascape does for around 20 grand. I love the screen room. Bunk beds suck. Ill take a couch. Or side dinette .
All is ok up to the point of the screen room that you said was good for keeping out bugs. !!!!?????? I guess you forgot to mention the 2 big ass gapping holes under the door to the left and to the right ??????? So is the customer supposed to supply the cardboard and duct tape to close those holes up or what ??????? I mean come on. It's like putting a screen door on a SUBMARINE right. ?????
Here’s an odd question, how did you get the marker lights and taillights illuminated without being hooked to a vehicle? 🚗 I’ve always wanted to do that.
You can place a small automotive 5AMP fuse between two pins in the 7 way cable and it will bridge the gap between shore power and where the trailer would get vehicle power.
I will see what I can do but we are about to start our Spring Fall which consumes a lot of our resources. Would a quick reel work or did you want a detailed walk around?
Beware of Forest River/Rockwood/Flagstaff models. Mine had serious manufacturing defects which they admitted to, towed the camper back to the factory, then proceeded to return it to me severely damaged. They've agreed to fix the easy, cheap stuff but not the expensive, important stuff. If you think I'm just one disgruntled customer, take a look at the Better Business Bureau's Forest River page - 1 star out of 5. If I can help just one person not go through the months long agony and financial hardship I have, it will be enough. Thanks for reading
I just wish that manufacturer of those class C RV's put CCC on their web site under specifications for each coach . I really liked your XG32 till I found out that CCC is only 2100 # . Hook 10K trailer behind it and is reduced to 1100 # only. The XG32 would be great on F600 chassis .
Another thing he didn’t mention and didn’t show besides the bathroom is that it has a gas furnace below the fridge too with a wall thermostat by the sink which is nice for fall and winter camping, it also has night stand storage at one end of the queen bed which is nice so you can store your medicine or anything that you don’t want kids to find or whatever, I have this exact trailer and it can’t be beaten! It is the world’s best trailer! If I get enough likes and replies on this comment and if I get enough requests I will do a walkthrough on mine and I will show the bathroom
Here is a video that we created to help you winterize your unit. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1J4tYkSiDAA.html You can also bring in your unit and we will be able to winterize it for you in about 10-15 minutes.
Never will I ever buy another Thor product. So much $$ for such a piece of $h!t! At first glance they seem nice - all shiny and new but are built soooo poorly 😢
Most of the changes are aestetic changes, new decal colours, new fabrics inside. They have updated the tyres starting in 2022, I believe, that they use on the V models. 2022 is also the last year that it has a 3 way 1.9 cubic foot refrigerator. That refrigerator is no longer in production so they have gone with a 12volt top opening moveable refrigerator. They have received mixed reviews. Most people prefer the 3 way options between gas, electric (12 volt and 110 volt.) We do have a very good deal on our 2022 V3's right now. If you would like more information than this, I do not have it all I am just a video editor, than give us a call and a sales advisor will be able to look up all of the technical details for you. 801-262-2921@@edricheson
Dude this is like the only video on the internet explaining this this easily, and i use 5 gal tanks for at home and my kids so this was very helpful. Thank you
We try to present just a basic overall feature analysis on the trailers. There is so much to go over that the videos would start to be 30 to 45 minutes long to cover everything in detail. Is that something you would like to see in the future? An in depth review of all systems?
Absolutely horrible Quality Check by Thor followed by a horrible PDI (PRE inspection Delivery). I drove it 60 miles, returned to North Trail complaining about the way it was delivered. Took them 7 weeks to get permission and repair problems. Ridiculous. Find both another Manufacturer and Dealership.
The front seats in this model are from Ford, the free standing seat is a Lippert and Nexus made the dinette booth seats. There is also Flair Industry and Flexsteel that also make RV seating.
We recommend going to a Thor dealership as they will cover any warranty issues. We cannot speak to if that said location will have the capacity to fix said repairs however, that would be based on their individual shop facilities.
Great unit! I own one and we recently went camping. What a pleasure it was to set up, love the layout, plenty of space for 2 and maybe a grand baby or 2- the air conditioner held its own in 115° weather- that was the real test. My Silverado 1500 towed it no problem, I recommend this rig!
I sleep with a CPAP machine,...nice camper, but see no place to set a CPAP machine close by either one of the fold out beds. A small night stand would be nice for that purpose, especially beside the front fold out bed.
This is an older 2018 Model trailer and is outdated. Newer 2023/2024 models will most likely have or be easily upgraded to be able to use CPAP's by the bedside. Most manufacturing companies are aware that of that possible need and are designing trailers with that in mind these days.
Id try get some velor or soft material sleeves for those bed cables, also in back of the overhead cabinet id pit in some faux back panels make it look little more quality
Informative video on this camper. It looks like the slide will block the microwave and stairs when closed? This could be a problem if traveling and you wanted to heat something up in microwave or get to the toilet. How many batteries can be placed in the storage area? It looked small. No sense having that 200 watt solar panel if you can’t charge multiple batteries for the off-grid package. The dry weight of this camper is 7250 (per manufacturer) and has a cargo capacity of 1740 = close to 9000 lbs x 20% = pin weight of 1800#’s. When you add in passengers (350)+ hitch (200) + bike rack (100)+ junk in your truck (100) = total cargo capacity of 2550#’s. Personally, no 1/2 ton should be towing a fifth wheel ( unless you own an Escape 5.0 or Scamp 19). Tow ratings are determined by towing a flat-bed trailer on a closed course, not by towing a 12 foot high 5th wheel bouncing up/down in a truck bed. That 2500#’s of bouncing pin weight increases exponentially and can easily equal 3000-4000 lbs of force on the truck’s hitch, bed, axle, bearings and tires. There is a lot more to “towing” than just pulling something behind you. No tow vehicle should go over max tow ratings by 75%. People act like towing is a static thing with no other forces on the trailer or tow vehicle. Listed below are the Max cargo capacities and 75% [ ] of max cargo capacity of each truck. The only truck that currently comes close is the Ford (too close for me). Ram 2335[1750], Titan 1700[1275], 2023 Tundra 1740[1305] Tundra’s has actually dropped by 200#’s Silverado 2290[1700], F-150 3325 [2500] RV manufactures should get rid of the “Half Ton” designation on all of their campers. RV dealers should reinforce this. Not sure why they continue to market this Half Ton towable idea? Half tons are made for comfort to appeal to a larger audience. Adding bump stops, airbags, springs, etc, etc does not change the fact that it still is just a 1/2 ton frame. Actually you can buy a 3/4 ton that exceeds the tow requirements for less than a tricked out 1/2 ton to try to reach these limits.
Glad to watch this video. I found some new characteristics I enjoyed and others I didn't. The 2020 Thor Omni BB35 Class C Diesel Motor-home on Ford F-550 Chassis remains my favorite. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PS2ChQHrpr8.html On both models You've build a spacious toilet/bathroom area but failed to include a smaller toilet for rapid use. So, if one person needs to use the toilet, He/She will have to wait until You finish your bath. I guess it's not very practical.
