@@wanderingwithdan1522 loads better this time 🤣 though that's why I left it until after summer holidays . Even 2 weeks ago .the lakes were quite busy but now it's more settled .just the way I like it. I hope ur still getting out in the hills .I see ur abroad alot these days .upgraded ey 🙂
@@PrinzMidas thank you for Watching . I appreciate the kind comments and continued support and I just hope it inspires others to get outside. It's helped me in more ways than I can describe. 🙂🙏
Nice dude can't beat a bit of fishing 👌 looks like a really peaceful day on the river, that pack raft really does glide along! Good to see a little update I'll look forward to some more
Yeah was surprised tbh . Usually this time of year it's abit busier . Hardly any motorized boats .about 5 total. Yeah I do enjoy abit of fishing .prefer it this way rather than sitting on the bank. Yeah packraft paddles nicely though there's others out there that are a little more streamline which would cover more distance faster but this one is a great all rounder. Expeditions, fishing , some whitewater so it offers a great all round in one boat and can carry 180kg
Thanks dude .really appreciate that. Maybe you and your other half will get up there some time over the summer. Even just a day it's well worth the drive. Watch out for the next few videos . Scotland 😀 one hiking 1st then I have 2 multi day packraft trips which I'm looking forward to the most .can't wait!
@@qkfrench ah man glad you got out though. Plenty time for you to get wild camping. Main thing is you're out exploring new places . That's what it's all about..
Thanks Eze I did the best I could do on such a short adventure. I've got about 3-4 Scotland trips this year which are multi day so I should be able to create better and more indepth videos that run about 1hr long 😀. Looking forward seeing yours and Matt's latest Scotland trip 🤙
Nice video, It's a beautiful area and you captured it well. I used to live in Little Walsingham so visited there almost daily. The deer made me laugh, I expect munjac. Also the rabbits often run rings around you if you stay in the dunes.
Cheers bud .yes a beautiful area for sure. It's a little under 1.30hr from me so not a daily visit for me sadly . Yes munjac ,2 of them .honestly iv not moved that quick in ages lol . Tbh I didn't see one rabbit now you mention it which I am surprised about. You can definitely feel alone in them dunes .
Thanks John mate. Yeah I'm definitely starting to feel more comfortable as times goes on and figuring out my type of style I guess. Just constantly learning I guess. Appreciate the continued support though. We'll get out very soon 🙂🏕
So good mate, such a visual feast, making good use of that drone. That steak with the mustard, so good. Did you get any hassle from wardens, heard they patrol our coastline in summer?
Cheers mate . Oh one of the best of Norfolk for sure. I have to agree. Yeah the location screams for a drone I think so you can get a real idea of scale/length of the beach . Steak was very chewy lol could of done little longer personally. Tbh bud I had seen reports of wardens and rightly so for many of those people who leave bbqs and rubbish on warm summer evenings. I personally didn't see anyone . Only the 1 I saw when I was hiking in like I mentioned. I think being a week day probably helped with schools/work and also wardens now thinking bout it. They probably are more present on the weekends and holidays for sure. It's definitely a risk you have anywhere you go these days that has some beauty to it.
Dude this video was awsome! Felt like i was there too, havent been to the lakes in gonna be poping by briefly late this year on the three peaks, would love to do a bit of wild camping!
Thanks John. It's certainly a beautiful place . I do love the lakes so much to explore. Aa you know I've started pushing into Scotland. I've dome lakes for about 5years now . But in that time it's built my experience and physical ability up over that time. Is it the national 3 peaks? Snowdon, nevis scaf pike?
Thanks Chris appreciate that bud. Certainly is . Reminds me abit of Scotland and also a little of Canadain vibe (though never been to canada) I hope that other places take note from them and introduce the rewilding in other areas
I don't know the Lake District well (only ever been once) but don't think I have ever come across anyone doing a video from here... what a wonderful valley it looks.. great filming and a lovely relaxed vibe to you vlog/video/film, well done. Watched this on World Earth Day 2024. ! atb Alan
Thank you Alan for such a comment. Appreciate you taking the time to give such in depth feedback too it really helps to know people enjoyed it as much as me. Lake district is Definitely worth visiting more than once . So much to see. Valleys ,caves ,tarns (small lakes up mountains) Thanks again Alan 🤙
It is absolutely beautiful bud. Though the area where I camped was once full of more trees but as you could see there were alot of emptiness in the other side now. But that's only further down valley. Still plenty of trees still .just not in the area I chose to camp sadly but was a lovely spot for a tent 🙂
Aw man ,hugely appreciate that dude . I agree the drone adds something to videos and I'm starting to feel comfortable infront of camera and the editing process is becoming easier 🙂🤙
Really glad you enjoyed it and greatly appreciate the kind comment. It certainly helps knowing people's opinions :) I must say, I enjoyed making this one .beautiful place.
Iv had some trouble since my last video. Which resulted in not being able toget out ,even local. Mainly due to covid multiple times and sciatica has been playing me up so you could say it's not been easy toget out lol .but appreciate the comment and concern. Thankfully got myself out on a well needed outing :) thanks again .
It's definitely large enough for a 3-4camping trip thats for sure. I guess it all comes down to how compact your gear is really. If your camping gear is quite compact then it's possible. I wouldn't like to say 100% . I guess all you can do is purchase it .load your gear in and go from there. It's certainly durable enough
not many people reviewing this pack one other guy there in England did a review one guy here in the States talked about it I think I've seen Simon A Bloke In The Woods using this pack but he hasn't said anything I've been looking at this pack for some time so thanks for the review
. I have seen it and it looks a great bag . But I think everyone has different likes so that's why I thought I'd share an alternative. Just incase someone wanted another option at a lower price 🙂 thanks for watching bud
Hello mate . I have done 1 beach camp yrs ago but that was before I knew anything about real camping so everything was chucked together. I.e a home quilt, pillow etc and I take sleep tablets these days so I'm pretty sure a sleep anywhere lol. Is it the sand or the waves that keep you up?
@@aspireroaming Haven’t resorted to sleeping tablets yet, normally so tired, but I usually wake up around 3 and take ages to get back to sleep, be nice to sleep through
@@JamiedoesWildBikepacking it's harder to camp on beaches too I find with the shortage of clean water source. So you're needing to take extra . I can imagine it's windy though being right on the tip of east coast . But iv never really had an urge to camp the beach . Much prefer mountains and woodlands. But never say never . Maybe some day I'll do a beach camp in Sumner with minimal gear etc
Hi mate , I really enjoyed watching your adventure that Norfolk countryside is great and I haven’t been there for years. It was great to see you enjoying your first long hike and I hope you do many more. I know how you felt after the first night like go home yea we all feel like that but I think it’s doing it and the sense of accomplishment and the nature that keeps you coming back. Great editing and music. ATB and cheers 👌
Thank you Dave for such a kind message . Really appreciate you watching and even more for the comment. You are absolutely right about feeling accomplished. I certainly felt that after that hike which I think I underestimated being only 61miles but it definitely is no walk in the park but a build up to longer ones in the future. I hope you get back to norfolk some day to enjoy the beautiful spots and it's charm. 🙏 thank you
Id love to know how much your back pack weighs? I want to walk this path, but im really struggling to get the weight down, as im not that young anymore. Love the video, and ill be watching again . I know too well that feeling when you first wake up....cold..everything is damp...and you ask yourself "what am i doing here? I want to go home" it does pass quite quickly once im up.😂
Hey bud , my pack with camera gear ,batteries etc and all my gear I got it down to about 9kg with food and water too. It would of been around 8kg if it wasn't for all the camera equipment but I like to film. It's a nice trail . The last section felt like it was going on for ages from acle to great yarmouth lol. Really appreciate you watching and comment. It will definitely help if you can get your weight down to something your happy with as makes the journey more pleasant. Footwear is important too. I'd definitely say boots will be over kill on this trail so a nice pair trail runners would be great .
Thanks Rob, did you stay in campsites or b&b ? What did you think of the trail? I definitely thought the last section from acle went on and on lol. Just felt never ending but peaceful, just wish the pub was open . Thanks for the watch tho Rob and kind comment 🙂🤙
@@aspireroaming I stayed in the Kings Arms in North Walsham the night before I started & at the end of day 1. The end of day 2 was an air B & B in Potter Heigham😊. Yr right tho, Halvergate Marsh & the river bank alongside Brendon Water was just a monotonous slog😅 but hey we did it mate🚶🏻💪😁
@@aspireroaming it was a great trail👍 real pleased I did it. It was my first time doing a long distance path like that, but I’m certain it won’t be the last😁
@@robmonk8069 absolutely, well done mate 👏. Iv got a few more trips this summer planned , some multi day canoe trips and hopefully another thru hike before summer ends too.
Great stuff mate, nice to see some of my local stomping grounds in Norfolk. That old BSA was lovely. The tent, is it held up with trekking poles, looks good.
BSA? Yeah bud the tent is the lanshan 2 (not the pro) difference between is the pro is single skin and the normal (which mine is) is a double skin . Both models held up with trekking poles but they do sell carbon poles for these tents incase you are not a trekking pole user but it mountains I tend to take them so it was a clear choice really . Appreciate watching mate .it was certainly a journey
Nice place , shame about the firepits that spoil it for others, they are a breed of different types of party campers that just dont care , just like litter bugs , & people that think others will clear up behind them?
I think some of it got worse from the covid situation too, where no one could go abroad so they saw it on social and thought that looked fun . But it definitely had an effect on us real leave no trace wild campers and how people see us wild camper. When most of it is as you say the party campers with no real respect for the outdoors
Nice one mate, weather looked awesome for a camp, don't get many stream side spots like that in Thetford fores! Bit of sun really makes the footage pop! I know what you mean about the woods camp, people seem to go for these named spots and then wonder why they get found out and moved on. ATB mate
Weather was lovely bud . Certainly picked the better days to go. I agree with the sun popping the footage. Yeah it's just nice finding the less crowded spots .it's coming Harder each time with social media's etc giving away spots. Thank u for checking it out though 🙂🤙
@@JamiedoesWildBikepacking just watched one your bike videos bud . Iv Been looking at a gravel bike myself. Watched your one on 2023 loadout I think it was on the bivvi bike
Thanks mate ,really glad you enjoyed it and appreciate the kind comment. Oh is that the road? I thought it was Manchester road as that's all I could see on my sat nav at the time. I can see it causing traffic come busier times depending on length of work.
