John Duckett is the Silent Photographer. Why silent? Well no chatter, no commentary and no videos. Just relaxing old school landscape, seascape and woodland still photography in short slideshows. Designed for you to relax and shut out the real world for a few precise moments I hope you enjoy viewing these slideshows hem as much as I enjoyed taking the photographs.
All photographs used in these slideshows were taken by me and are available to buy on my website at www.jduckettimages.co.uk or directly from my store on Picfair. johnduckettphotography.picfair.com/
I do love reading your kind comments but please excuse me, I not being rude if you get a quick thank you and I don't engage, it is just I have difficulty understanding social rules and get very anxious about replying and seeming blunt or rude without meaning to..
…The way I see and interact with the world means I will be remaining silent.
Thank you for commenting Kevin. I appreciate your point of view and am happy you took the time to comment.. there was a period a few years ago that I tried square just to mix it up a bit… mostly I shot 3:2 format again these days.
The wait of time always leaves behind beauty. Your quiet photos.... I'm taking a long break. 시간의 기다림은 언제나 아름다움으로 남겨 지나 봅니다. 당신의 조용한 사진에.... 한참이나 쉬고 갑니다.
Stupid question: Is it possible to color grade footage shot with a purly monochrome camera in terms of contrast and shadows and light, even if the footage was not shot in RAW?
I believe ‘levels’ in Photoshop would be best for this… make sure your graph covers completely from both edges with a nice peak at each end for strong contrast….
That was so inspiring. What a lovely change from the endless “Street Photography” featuring mundane images of uninteresting people simply walking about. Thank you.
how pleasant - atmospheric pictures without annoying 'music' in the background. An unerring eye for outstanding situations and artistic staging. Hats off to the 'Silent Photographer'! Subscribed!!
Absolutely stunning work! The wind was a great touch - it made me feel like I was actually there. I would’ve watched more than 5 minutes. Haunting, yet serene & peaceful.
