"The most of it goes for likker and wimmen. The rest I spend foolishly". So that's where this ... " 'Bout a million and a half on whores and whisky and the rest, just sorta blew it." -- Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) to Carson Wells (Woody Harrelson), "No Country for Old Men" ... ... came from.
This film was awesome best Batmobile, best Villain and best Gotham ever and yes I'm looking at you Nolan fans I like the Dark Knight but it's only because of Heath Ledger and not Nolan! That being said I much prefer Jack Nicholson's performance!
i don't know too much about california, but did some volunteer trail work in northern ca. i am half chinese and yes, this was a very delightful tragic spotlight on fresno. thank you.
With all due respect to your late Dad. did he ever shared to you that him and Bruce had a fight or they had sparred? before the 1967 karate world Championship tournament

Batman hairdresser Jay Sebring was the one that recommended Lee (from Ed's event) to the producers (who just so happen to be looking for someone to play Kato.
Fantastic to see Ed Parker's Son:) I've heard Ed and Elvis was good friends, and I have seen Elvis walking to his last concert june 21st 1977 with Ed just behind, smiling, and Ed, some irritated to not be able to give Elvis his last Cocke before concert...because another bodyguard was "to fast"...:)
I don't think Ed Parker would have invited Bruce Lee as the guest of honor had he been "cocky" and "arrogant" Bruce Lee was confident, that is a totally different thing.
My husband got his black belt through Ed Parker. Then Bob Perry broke away from Kempo Karate, and started United Karate Studios. My husband became an instructor there. Then in the early 70's he opened his own studio, in LA Mirada, CA. I remember seeing Chuck Norris competing at a competition in Long Beach, CA and Bruce Lee, before they went Hollywood 🙂
I love the stories this woman tells. She's very informative and she's got a great sense of humor. My mother went to Roosevelt High. She graduated from there in 1949.
There are certain images and beliefs that float around about what a winner is and a looser and so forth and we all have our own taste and interests. But Bruce Lee was just a guy with a massive amount of unstoppable energy. He had a great sense of himself who he was and what’s it going to take to get further and better. He was expressive and laughed a lot. Had a hot and violent temper. Was afraid of no one. Trained like a motherfucker. And was always growing and living life to its fullest. And above it all he seemed love and I mean love to fight. So that’s basically who he was and people can think about him anyway they wish and that’s fine because that’s their opinion. What do I think of the guy…the man was crazy. But in the best sense of the word.
Please come down to south Florida I've been looking to upgrade my paddle and I love your concept of tying all the different materials out and seeing what fits for me instead of buying something blindly and only relying on videos and people's opinions
Ah Louis was like those Asian Americans during the 1800's during the old west helped built railroads towns like chinatowns much like Thomas Ah Quin the first san Diego Chinese police officer of july 1917 his father too ran restaurants and chinatowns etc .
"what kind of activity?" proceeds to change the subject infinitely. Opium dens. Thats what went on back then. Also prostitution. Of course these are the bad things, but also some good things happened. Prohibition could be argued either way.
Thank you for the story behind Ah Louis and the neat history around the central coast. What a life and to see so much of the world, while dealing with the cultural hatred and barriers that came in the 20th century (and in some cases continue in the 21st unfortunately). Loved all the pictures you assembled too, wow.
