I'm a lilly white guy from Central Indiana and nothing about my search history on RU-vid explains why this video popped up in my feed. But I'm really glad it did. It's great to see American families gathering for thanksgiving, passing down their traditions to their kids and enjoying God's gift of nature. Happy Holidays & God bless.
Man, I could talk to those kids about school and a career. I spent my career in agriculture and did ok. I do have a college degree but it played little part in my career. The state champion in Alabama 7A football this year was Thompson, just south of Birmingham. Their starting quarterback was in 8th grade!!! He set several state championship records!! In 8th grade. We're not talking about some all white private school. I think he's Tua's cousin. You know I love seeing those kids learning to shoot and enjoy the outdoors. I've used a clip of your daughter fishing because I know grown men that can't use a spinning reel as well as she can. We are still in discussion about a January trip to Clewiston.
@MCA Fishing21 I'm gonna hold you to it. We are looking at the last week in January and we want to learn crappie fishing on Okeechobee, preferably around Clewiston. We would love to meet you and your family and probably support your charity. We are looking at hiring a guide or 2 for a day. We don't really do much bass fishing. We own several farm ponds, 7 total, where we catch bass, but we fish Okeechobee for bluegill and shellcracker. Once we firm things up, I'll get back with you. We normally stay in the condos at Roland Martin
Man! That's some high dollar redneck hunting right there. Side by side, propane heaters...the works. That AR10 will do the job. I have a couple but don't use them for hunting. I have an H&K that I paid WAY too much for but it sure is an awesome rifle and 900 yard shots are possible even for an old man like me. I don't have anywhere I can shoot farther than that. I killed my 2 target bucks a week apart. A good 8 and my personal best, a big, wide 9. The 8 point I made a horrible shot despite having sighted in my rifle 3 weeks prior. I was 3.5" low at 50 yards! The 9 point was a perfect heart shot. The scrapes can be used by doe as well as bucks. I have video of a big 8 and a spike using a scrape within an hour of each other. They can use them all year as communal spots but really start making a lot of them when the rut gets close. They normally make them under a low-hanging branch that they use to put their scent for other deer to know who's been in the area. That looks like a great trip and nothing makes me happier than seeing kids enjoying hunting and fishing. I grew up with a bunch of friends who lived to be in the woods and you just don't see that now. My brother called me yesterday. He's wanting to head down to Clewiston in January.
Awesome! Getting kids into outdoor activities will keep kids off the streets and off of video games. I retired from an ag company that grows a lot of fruits and vegetables around the area. Let's see if we can get together and try to set your group up as one of their charities. Duda Farm Fresh Foods. We will be back down in Clewiston in March and need to meet up. I have tried to get people to bring their kids to fish on my pond here at home for bluegill but only a couple of cousins have taken me up on it. Lots of people say they're interested but they must get too busy.
Man you have grown so much as a person and a fisherman since you started your channel. You're doing a great job. God bless you man. Keep up the good work.
Fishing Okeechobee. Figure out all the names of spots. Be extremely careful running the lake, especially from June on because it has taken many lower units over the years. We used to run the rim canal from Clewiston up to Joe's Cut until we figured out it was much faster cutting off from the channel. Just don't try to go between the rock islands or you'll break everything. I wore largemouth out in Joe's Cut back in June but nothing big. I'm one of those guys who will tell you exactly where I find fish and what I used. I'm not a tournament fisherman and would rather find a shellcracker bed than a bunch of bass. Good luck in the tourney! If you never win you are still blessed to be able to enjoy your passion.
Thx a bunch for the info guy. I have a 2 day small club tournament next month there and i can use all the info you can spare. Thx again and keep up the good work
