John was so under-scored!! Backhand, no grab, unbelievably critical behind and over huge gnarly foam balls, barely hanging on but still with perfect style! Italo's waves were beautiful, but he was always comfortably going to make the tube. Great heat, and it's nice that a WSL contest finally had good conditions! But I think the judges only realize and appreciate how gnarly John is barely half the time!
For God sake, this commentator Felicity Palmatter is terrible, no conditions to listen her, she seems to be always high/stoned, completely unnecessary. With so many great commentators I don't understand why WSL keeps her talking shit
