The A and E strings are having quite a ball on this violin. Well-rounded, free range...Just great! Not sure about the G and D, they are a bit muffled compared to the two other ones.
What a beautiful full and well-rounded sound. This instrument is quite responsive. Sounds a bit like mine. I would not say the same about the weird varnish; from afar, it looks like this varnish was quite thickly applied... if it was a varnish to start with; what a pity... on such a great instrument!
Repairing a guitar I cut the little pyramids to shape first..Much easier and less risky . One guitar had been stood on , and the back was split from top to bottom .
I got today also Anno 19 it's old violin old case just everything is old there is a little bit a damages too... what do you think could my violin cost?
I miss the 30 minute repair videos from 10 years ago on this channel. I never get tired of watching Joana work! She is so very talented, it's good to see her back in your shop
Lovely work, I really enjoyed watching the restore process. I did miss the positioning and adjustment of the soundpost, and how you assessed the best position for it. It does sound like you got it right!
