Welcome to Aub & Steve Adventures. We are high school sweethearts that love to travel. What we love to do most is cruise. We have been on 12 cruises with 5 different cruise lines (Carnival, Holland America, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Virgin Voyages). Alaska four times, the Caribbean six times, and Canada twice.
Our home base is in Houston, TX. Houston is well positioned for those who enjoy traveling. We can go from home to on a cruise ship in less than two hours. If we need to fly anywhere, Houston has two major airports.
We would like to start exploring international locations soon. Europe and the Mediterranean are tops of our travel list.

Thanks! We're glad you liked the video. We have three other ship tours without narration. HAL Nieuw Amsterdam, Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas, and Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady. Most of the footage is taken very early in the morning and/or in port to avoid the crowds and to not annoy anyone.

That is kind of you to say. Thank you. We hope you have a great cruise. Our favorite area to relax was on decks 15 and 16 aft. Wasn't too busy, and the pool was adults only.
Both Sabatini's and Planks BBQ were only open for dinner. Planks alternated evenings with Steamers as they both occupied a portion of the buffet area. Hope this helps.

Thanks for watching. We booked a Bella cabin. At this level only the continental breakfast was included, but with a delivery fee. At other levels like Fantastica you get breakfast with no delivery fee, but pay for food and delivery for all other room service. Aurea level gets you no delivery fee all room services, but you still pay for all food except breakfast. Yacht Club may have included room service, I'm not sure. Very confusing, I know. Best to check the MSC web site or call their customer service and ask to be certain. Happy cruising!
It can be very nice depending on the weather. The beach is beautiful and the water is a beautiful blue. We enjoyed laying in hammocks and relaxing in the shade. The bars can get a bit busy, and the music by the pool can be quite loud.
It was a bucket list excursion for us. The boat ride there and back was a little rough. If you are prone to motion sickness, I suggest taking precautions.
It was nice but could have used a deep cleaning. Some signs of wear and tear, but nothing too serious. This was the first MSC for us, and we wouldn't hesitate to cruise on them again.
Have they improved their food? I was on an msc meriviglia in 2019 and I didn’t like the buffet food at all. Very European with lots of bread cheese and lunch meat.
The float bags and seat cushions should work. The bag/backpack works for the Lake, Lake+, and Inlet. You'd have to check with Oru to see if they have a bag for the Inlet.
This video was recorded on that very cruise. The person died after falling from a balcony onto a lower deck. Made for a very memorable cruise experience. We have a couple RU-vid shorts from the night it occurred.
I'm 6 ft 3 in and fit relatively well. For 1 to 2 hours of easy paddling, it's fine. If I were to buy an Oru again, I'd most likely go with the Beach LT. The only downside would be that the portability of the Lake is much better. To throw the Lake in the back of a small car and be on the water in minutes was a big selling point (that and the lower price). Depends on what's more important to you.
