I love this chair's comfort, but I have had some issues with it not wanting to fold back up after sitting for a few hours. We work on turtle patrol at the beach and this is exactly what I was looking for to sit at our nests and take camping as well but some nights it has been getting stuck and giving me a really hard time with the legs sliding back up.
Hi Andy! Looks like a great trail. I'm wondering if you went clockwise or counter for the trip? It looks like you when counter, but not sure. Thinking of doing an in/out backpack trip instead of the whole loop. Thanks!
@@AndyParrishOutdoors Ok! We'd start at the same lot / trailhead that you all did and thinking of only doing 2-3 miles in camping, maybe another one mile if we want to move and then back out. My kiddo is still young and so shorter legs! Not up for more than that yet. What would you suggest with that info? This trail, clockwise? Or do you have another suggestion?! Two pups coming too so has to be dog friendly. Thanks for the reply! Appreciated : ) MHG
Great video and excellent tips! I have over 1500 trail km under my belt now with this tent. It has kept me safe and comfortable even in the wildest weather in Tasmania!
I floss between my toes every time I have my socks off. Greatly reduces my athlete's foot problem. Dries, debrides, and removes surface fungi and odor. I just use a tee shirt or the top of a sock.
What Patagonia R1 did you wear? The R1 Air Full-Zip Hoodie, the R1 Pullover Hoodie, or R1 TechFace Hoodie? Or, since that was a few years ago, do wear/recommend something else currently? Thanks!
Do you include some type of tracking beacon for your phone these days ?? You know … like when you’re hiking and loose your phone in the snow, at night! 😂
@AndyParrishOutdoors Not right. I don't know why, but hot chocolate at camp works for me. I drink a cup of coffee every morning at home with my wife but hot chocolate at camp. Lol
Thank you guys soon much. I just put my Durston solid for the first time and with your help it was easy. I just have to buy different stakes (using my Cooper Spur), any advice?
@@AndyParrishOutdoors We are set for the week of Aug 12. 4 day 3 night. Coming up from Texas 😁wanted a nice long hike to celebrate our 40th bdays. The ‘We ain’t old yet hike’ 😂
The mountain goats are pretty docile, they have no reason to fight humans and will only fight other animals if really threatened with young or in food scarcity. The latter being rare, since they eat basically any grasses or shrubs. Still a good idea to keep distance and let them be wild. I've heard they are delicious when slow cooked and shredded like pulled pork.
@@AndyParrishOutdoors Unfortunately I suspect you are correct. Good message in the video to remind people to avoid the temptation to feed them. The back country isn't a petting zoo hahaha
Do you have a recommendation for a solar battery backup for Philmont. Doing a 12-day and I don't want to carry anything huge just looking for a good solar battery backup
