We should have a new song at matches, sung to the tune of 'Who Want's To Be A Millionaire', but with the words changed to "Who Want's to Be An Invincible, I DO!"
Man U match.. Nelson was a standout for me, he was everywhere, making greats runs (just unlucky at the end of a couple), great movement on and off the ball, intelligent and accurate passing. Jesus looks back to top form. I think one of the things Arteta has said he could improve is his finishing, even though he's a likely 20 goal a season player, if he got all of the close chances, all those wide or over the bar on target, cut out all the extra touches, he could be a 30+ a year player. Jorginho played really well, completely forgot it was a friendly with those heavy/careless tackles! Trossard was Trossard, always good, if he'd got that shot in that was saved by the keeper that would be even more typical Trossard. Nwaneri was all over them. I can't see how MA can leave him out of decent first team minutes next season. The young defenders were so composed on the ball that I was worrying that they might get overconfident and have the ball nicked off them, they didn't, well played lads. Some of the play was naff though. Several times the ball went to a defender, but instead of passing it to the free player ahead of them in plenty of space on their side of the pitch, the ball went sideways, but over the other side the forward players were all marked, so the ball had to come back. Is this just to rack up the number of touches the players get, to help their stats, because it's pointless doing it when there's clear passes to players in space ahead of them?
Regarding touts, I can't say how true this is, but apparently at work there is a guy that has a season tickets for Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man U, that goes on to the resale websites every week. This is a rumour, so can't say how true that is, but there might be some people that have season tickets as opposed to just being members.
Merino is exciting for some Arsenals and Arteta but not that exciting for me. Good player but how much is this from having a good Euro. I wish this was one player Arsenal miss out on.
@@TheGoonerTalkTV Doesn't mean he will do well at Arsenal as some come in and do well and some don't. Saw rumor or something that West Ham are going after Fofana and he would be a good signing for Arsenal maybe.
I know the show is over, but I did not get a ticket in the ballot, I didn't apply for every match as i work for an airline and not in the UK every week. I do agree with Tom that those that get a ticket shout then wait till others get a chance and then it resets all again.
Only fixture I would do out of the country is community shield that's really it. The interesting thing is as long as we're on top of the league competing for titles we will have this issue of availability of tickets more so than we were average but I also understand why the club has done it because of the ticket touting.
Aussie here tickets are so hard to get you need to be in Europe at the time of a game afew days prior of sales you are lucky to get arsenal Australia to get 2 game a season
From what I understand from your perspective is that yours are more logical to get a game friendlies over memberrship, I don't agree because fans that pay membership cancel there tickets because for ever what reason this giving club and scalpers option to resell ?
American fan here. Went to my first arsenal game in 15 years of supporting them (I’m 24) last year at sofi vs Barcelona. One of my greatest Arsenal memories. I hope others around the world get that opportunity, but selfishly I also hope they play here every year 😂
I think games overseas would be nice but for cup finals where the site should be neutral. The NFL does the overseas game and it definitely affects the game with there being no true home advantage, needing a bye week and players are jet lagged.
Josh trying to save face after promises he made to USA fans very similar to what happen to Saint Louis rams when kronekes did the dirty and moved them to LA and owned 1billion to the saint louis gov. McMahon gave the warning never trust a kroneke arsenal been milked for what emirates is worth even with the current team
As a Swede I have given up on any chance of buying a ticket through the membership, I haven't tried for every game in the season, I do have a life. I get that it is difficult to accommodate everybody, there are just so many seats each game, but for me to be able to get a ticket is more or less zero these days, unless I buy through a travel agency at many times more expensive (checked a random game, Arsenal - Wolves 520 GBP just for the ticket, then adding flights and hotel on top of that. I support the club and buy kits and accessories (not this year's away kit, the worst in the history of kits), but membership is kinda pointless. Also I find the website and the ticketing system is very confusing, I am relatively tech savvy but the Arsenal member site UI is a complete mess and in need of a serious overhaul, sometimes I don't even know if I'm logged in as myself or my daughter who I also bought membership for...
Hear me out! Leroy Sane will be our German signing, he will be a differing profile to saka, and when he is one the pitch our playing style will be flipped left to right, with sane making the darting runs on the right and the short passing triangles on the left with trossard etc
Not only is playing PL matches abroad stupid, but it removes each club’s connection to the area they’re from. The Emirates is part of Arsenal’s identity and so was Highbury. Imagine singing the north bank song in a completely different stadium halfway across the globe. It just doesn’t work. You don’t have to be from London to understand the significance of the area to Arsenal. That’s the whole point. And this is coming from a Canadian who’d probably benefit from having Arsenal closer to home. It goes against everything I like about English football which is how un-American it is.
tbh they won't tour other continents. the US is a growth market.. it's the largest and most valuable tv market in the world and then you have ticket sales, merch, tv subs. etc are on the line. that's why more and more clubs would go there, and why there are so many US owners trying to enter the table... they see PL football as 10-15 years behind US sports in terms of exploitabillity and the more it grows in the US, the more profit it would make. for them especially when the TV rights deal renewal time comes up.. its disappointing for the rest of us who cannot either go to europe or the us to see due to location or cost but that's the hard facts. more tv money means more resources and players that can be bouyght
Once issue with the ballot that I feel is overlooked is that if someone doesn't apply for a game due to work commitments, and then it later gets moved for TV purposes, they're stuck because they don't have access to the ticket exchange as the game may have been moved to a date that they can make
this was my problem with the Chelsea game, I couldn't make the original date but could have gone to the new date which loads of seats were available but it was too late.
A lot of people assuming Calafiori will be our left back at Timbers expense but we paid a similar amount for both players and they are similar ages.. so it will be a close battle between them as the other 3 defensive position are taken
I believe Calafiori And Timber Will Be Rotated With Timber Also giving White A rest at RB, or during a game Calafiori With Come On For White and Timber Will move to RB
@@TheGoonerTalkTV yea thought so. Would you be happy with merino as only addition in the midfield for now? personally havent seen much of him in action
Huge respect to all the shift workers out there. Healthcare, transportation, emergency services etc. They put themselves through night shifts for all of us every few weeks. ❤ Not a dig at you at all but a useful insight and grounding. Love the show and keep going.
Coming from an American, please keep the *English* PL in the UK! I choose to support the Arsenal, but in no way would I ever expect the league to bring competitive games to my backyard just because I can’t attend in person. Frankly it seems selfish to expect leagues and clubs to become traveling road shows - again coming from an oversees supporter. The fixtures would be exhibitions even if they were “competitive”. Not to the mention the majority of big venues in the US are NFL stadiums. And ‘news flash’ American football fields are not the same as the football pitches our boys play on in the UK/Europe. But hey why can’t road cyclists just ride down mountain trails, or beach volleyball be played on a basketball court, it’s all the same, right? Glad to hear owners aren’t eager to move competitive games abroad!
I've always said this about the NFL say a 60 year old man has been to every home game since the age of 7/8 then they decide to take a home game to England from a national league is disgusting and for me just shows greed. Pre season friendly fine for a little exposure but it's killing the spirit of home games and punishing those fan that supported the club's all their lives.
PL Games Can't And Shouldn't Be Played In USA But I Don't See Why Any Community Sheild, FA Cup, Cabeobo Cup Games Couldn't If Arsenal Were In It But then that would probably be down to the opponent that we were against as their fan base is not a big a would have to travel, it's a hard one for FIFA/fa to even start a discussion about
@@TheGoonerTalkTVjust trying to wind you up 😁 but on the serious note as a parent of two little kids I always find complaints about lack of sleep coming very amusing 😅
