I have been looking for the lyrics to this amazing song without success so I tried to listen and write it down by hand. Since English is not my native language, I may have misheard some of the phrases. I came the road by a music store, I felt the love, I yearned for more, its passion how I love to hold, a love affair with ancient tones. And who can say where love will show, so pure, so fine, a gentle rose, the sweatest kiss I’ve ever knowned, was a teardrop falling on my soul. And who can say me where music’s born, free spirit of the soul flows on, encircles us with nature’s womb, to breathe sweet life on the treasured poem. I’ve wept with feelings from your past, your love, your joy, of music’s heart, you paid my life in mystery, and gave freedom to my destiny. And who can say me where music’s born, free spirit of the soul flows on, encircles us with nature’s womb, to breathe sweet life on the treasured poem. And who can say where music goes, on ways of sunshine flowers grow, the perfect touch of nature’s hand, to create within the soul of man. And who can say me where music’s born, free spirit of the soul flows on, encircles us with nature’s womb, to breathe sweet life on the treasured poem. encircles us with nature’s womb, to breathe sweet life on the treasured poem.
Roy was such a lovely guy.Had the pleasure to see him perform many times. Thanks for the lovely memories and thanks for performing at our wedding in Malahide in Sept 95.
Lived in Ireland from 1980 to 1989 I was blessed on different occasions to sit with these gentlemen on different occasions separately... talked about everything from music to touring and the weather...such a treat to hear them together...haven't seen Roy since 89...and Finbar I met in 1982 after my Grandads funeral he was with the Late Paul Ashford the afternoon after a gig they were playing ...used to see Roy every week with Jump the gun ...on Monday nights....and Paul Ashford band every Sunday afternoon.....I wouldn't trade those moments for century's They sound so wonderful together
This song is so beautiful. Ronan Collins played it before Christmas for Terence’s birthday. For 2023 I wish Roy good health, in what I know is the toughest battle anyone can face. I love both this song and the song you sing with your daughter. Both are so sad and beautiful. Thanks Roy and Terence 😢 ❤ 💔
Had to pleasure of meeting Roy a couple of times many years ago where I managed a hotel and he played for us what a decent genuine nice guy that could sing anything and make it look so easy we'll done Roy and Finbar fantastic song
