Hey! We’re the Morse’s…an ordinary family of 6 who made some massive changes in early 2020 to create more moments, more memories, and more "Saturdays". We wrapped up a 1 year tour of the USA by RV and have since moved aboard a sailing catamaran to take our adventures to the ocean and beyond!
Why are we doing this? The 9a-5p, all the appointments, activities, subdivisions, minivan, amazon packages, cook dinner, clean up, wake up, repeat. You know...THE GRIND. We ditched our normal because we needed some abnormal. We felt like the grind was stealing our time, our treasure, our joy, and even our relationship with our kids. It was time to take it back.
We want to show our kids and you that life can be lived differently. Less is more. And our fears a figment of our imagination. It’s regret that is real and when it strikes it’s too late.
We’d love for you to get the whole picture so if you’re up for a good binge sesh start at video 1!
Hey there! How is sailing performance on this generation of Lagoons? Two years ago I sailed the 2019 450F and it was extremely unpleasant to sail. The rudder was way too undersized, wrong positioned(in front of prop. the interieur architects pushed the realignment of the engine room through so they could prioritize their interior plans, sacrificing steering performance for livability. That tells you everything about their priorities. No wonder people say they build the boat around the curtains. Which is a bummer as someone who loves sailing) that in combination with extremely wide hulls(=low performance in comparison to slim hulls) it resulted in the boat being effectively unable to be steered by hand because it was always going to the side. You couldn't steer straight ahead. To go straight you had to run the autopilot. As someone who loves the sailing side of cruising this was very disappointing to say the least. So what is your experience with this gen?
Probably similar as far as steering. It’s really the same boat they built from 2011-2022. But being that it’s our full time home we are happy to sacrifice sailing performance for the comfort and livability that it offers. And we only steer by hand when entering or leaving an anchorage then it’s straight to the autopilot. We’ve been really happy with the boat for our needs. The other thing with steering…these boats are way over canvased. We’ve found she actually sails better and more balanced when we reef early.
Yah we stopped the long form videos at this point. It was just sucking up too much time for what it was worth. We’re much more active on Instagram and TikTok and focus on short form.
Just in comparison to those who don’t have it. We consistently bring in a higher percentage of our rated wattage than those who don’t have bifacial. They really don’t cost much more so it’s a no brainer to me…why not utilize the dead space?
its translate to coffin island cause of its shape.. its not abandoned i have gone to it many times since a child.. its off coast of ponce. its NOT ABONDONED
I found you guys from a FB Reel... the one where Koen was swinging on the hammock in a quiet moment and I was intrigued and then hooked... I came here and binged everything and just finished watching all of Jadyn's videos... I love your family and I wish you guys made more videos on here but, until then, I'll just binge you guys on reels lol... thanks for being inspiring!
I love you guys, just a tip from a dental person. I think you need your teeth cleaned and you need to floss more because I can see the inflammation in your gums. This is not to criticize this is to help I love love love love this channel. I’ve been watching you all day onMemorial Day.
I hope you guys continue to make videos, I’ve only just found your channel! Love the cinematography and your comfortability in front of the camera. 🎥 Beautiful family, beautiful boat, beautiful life! I get so sad seeing good channels like this not get enough love, wishing you all the absolute best. 🐚
Awww thanks so much for all that! Yah the not enough love part is hard haha. To get the love and grow you gotta keep with the videos consistently and long form vids just take so much time to film and edit that ultimately we decided it was stealing more time, stress, and energy and than it was worth. We’re much much more active on IG where it feels sustainable.
Curious if you guys ever worry about any diesel fumes building up and causing health problems for the person who sleeps in that cabin? Interested in a 450 and I worry about that. Thanks in advance! 😊
Not at all cause it’s a closed system and the furl line is routed into the engine room And there are fans and blowers in there keeping the air circulating
I love the "freshness of your vids. Now days on you tube, every tuber edits their video's WAAAY to much. Nothing real! My point of view is videos on this platform should be " unedited " like yours. It's fresh and I wish more channels would follow this model.
