I am an avid hiker and feel that I have some knowledge in backpacking. This channel will hopefully be a place for everyone to give and get ideas for backpacking equipment.
I have a pair of Tin Man pants I'm going to buy another pair first year that to snag tears in it they get extremely cold outside stay warm inside definitely waterproof I like them going to get me another pair and a hoodie but I get did get two little snag tears in it
A helpfully hint an not to be a critique,,if you start in the center of your driveway and plow back and fourth when you come to the end of the run ya don't have to jump off every time an change the angle of the dam blade lol
You said he is large enough to carry if he got really hurt. How would you do that if you were say 50km in the backcountry? Do you have a sling made for carrying him like a backpack? I have seen these and considering one. I can treat minor things but having to get a 55 lbs dog out of the backcountry is a big concern of mine. The only thing I may add or that I carry is Benadryl for humans which is fine for dogs at a different dosage.
im a certified gunsmith and FFL licensed dealer, for Bear protection a 605!!!!!! REALLY!!!!!!. to stop a pissed off charging bear need atleast a 44 magnum. a 605 is great for concealed carry i mean something is better than nothing this is the time if your with a friend you gotta think i just need to run faster than you
I used to plow with one of those and it seemed fun at the time. But being a bit older now, I built a larger version that fit into a front receiver hitch on my pickup that also lifts with a 3500 lb. winch. It's going on about 25 years old now and so much nicer being inside with heat instead of freezing my nuts off outside on a 4 wheeler.
Just bought one 2 weeks ago. First day I shot 200 rounds through it . And great at 10 yards 15 ok . 38spl is like pop gun . Would I suggest one to a friend., yes . Price is right, $340 with pic and tax . 2in barrel I always wanted a snub nose .
I understand why people load with .38+p but in my opinion the purpose of 357 and 44 magnums is to maximize the power these firearms can put out. I only load with 357 mag
I got mine free about 3 weeks ago. Given to me from a friend who said it didn't work. Cleaned it up, put fresh gas and oil in it. Runs like a champ! Very loud though.
I have Filson Tin Chaps that I use for upland hunting in Montana. I like the chaps instead of pants as they are cooler and the roll up into a small package that is permanently stored in the back of my pickup. My Tin Chaps are over 30 years old.
If there's any need for high capacity magazines and semi-auto gangsta shit guns, it's when you're out there protecting yourself against wild bears. What are you doing with a five shooter?
I agree with your assessment 100%. I also love the way this knife looks; makes you want to pick it up. Some people like to gripe and split hairs, others just use their knife in the real world. The FM 78 is an all time great design.
Mine had a warn blade which is very heavy. I have a trunk on the back and this evens it out. My utv had that yellow blade. Not as good. The warn is metal even at the bottom.
Thanks 🙏. Planning on getting one next winter here in NE PA.. mostly because my snow blower is on last legs.. and at 60 now.. the 6 pt Buck me and my son dragged uphill about 1/2 mile.. 😂. Guessing the 420 can handle that too 👍🏻
Hello Mr, from your experience with Tin pants, could you say that double tin pants resist to heavy rain of it let water pass through the material ? thanks in advance
I made the same ramps for my polaris 400. They work great with exception of being slippery even when dry. Yet to decide on a fix for this..I don't think grip tape would help much on snow day.
Your Aussie is adorable. At least he can carry his own pack. My Yorkie is 5 pounds, so I'll be carrying it along with my own gear. I'm here to see what others pack in their bug out dog bags. Thanks.
