Mental balance is a tough one these days. So much flying at us at once, with news, opinions, hot takes, etc. pulling us this way and that. Not to mention the conveniences of life that make the tough stuff hit even harder than it normally might. All of this is enough to make you crack. When you feel like your mental is going downhill seek help. Journal. Talk to a counselor. Speak with a person you trust and be honest. Physical balance comprises several things. Strength is the first. Not body builder strong, necessarily, but the usable strength necessary to be more independent. Flexibility is another. Again, this doesn't have to be gymnast level flexibility but loose enough to maneuver without disruption. Endurance should be high enough to get you from here to there without wanting to die. Finally speed. The saying "I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you" comes to mind. Emotional balance is the ability to stay level in the face of changing circumstances. Allowing the emotions to happen, acknowledging their presence, understanding that that's how it goes some times and moving forward.
