love the videos! have you tried pulling a tube or wakeboard? and how many people can rid in it and it still get on plane? sorry for the questions but i really like this boat
Thanks! I've been wanting to get a tube but never got around to it...so i'm sorry that I can't answer that. I typically run with 3 people and have no trouble getting her on plane. I've had as many as 5 (4 adults and 1 child) and she will still plane. The boat is awesome and fits my needs perfectly.
I LOVE the 150. Been in 2 to 3's. It handles ok and I feel completely safe, but I prefer to only take it out in the ocean 2' or less. I wouldn't even want to go out in a 17' on anything rougher than that either and doubt a 17 would make too much of a difference. I had a size requirement and the BW 150 MTK is no doubt the best in size range.

Hi. Thanks for checking out my video. It's an awesome boat. I needed it to be garaged sized to fit in my single car garage, but feels so much bigger. BW 150 Montauk is a quality boat and very easy to trailer anywhere and maintain.

Hi. I bought it new 2 years ago and love it as much as the day I bought it. So much fun. Of course I wish I had a bigger boat, but it has to fit in my Garage. With that being said...It feels more roomier than any other 15 footer that I looked at and the quality is second to none. No problems with it so far. I have not been limited in taking her anywhere I've wanted to go. I regularly take her miles off shore when weather permits. Handles good in 1 to 2 footers but anything larger than that and I don't want to be out in any boat. Very good on gas and super easy to tow. Maintenance is a breeze with this boat. I spend about 30 minutes cleaning/rinsing her with soap and water after each outing and she looks as good as the day I bought her. Any other ?s and I'd be happy to answer. Great videos👍🏻 I’m in the market for a similar boat Montauk 150. My only concern is it can’t handle choppy water! How far offshore did you go with ur boat and how did it handle ?
Thanks! It can handle choppy water. I've taken it off shore in 2 foot seas. Much bigger than that and I don't want to go out in any boat. I pay more attention to the swell and the period of the swell. I love my 150. I didn't have much of a choice since it needs to stay in my garage. That boat can do anything a boat around 20' can do. It's my 1st Whaler and the reputation is no hype...it's easy to maintain and well made!
@@whalertales3416 Whalers are so tight, ---you can't compare Whalers to other boats out there. I've seen them all & they are truly "overall " the best Qualty constructed,--- also, a perfect balance between pleasure & fishing (fishing first) ;) Ride a 20 foot tin & then ride a Montauk 150 & you will never go back to tin even with the length difference. Tins are pinched at the front & the beam is generally not as wide. You literally get more room in a Boston-Whaler (nothing is wasted) 150"6" than a 19-20 foot snipped tin. (however, it's not just the overall no nonsense build quality that sets them truly apart ) It's also the near perfection of FISHING, playing, ski, tubing etc. ) ") (& safety if that concerns you) Just test run them first & you'll understand .
